Aella seemed to be the only one that believed Jasper and Clarke when they spoke about the shit that went down at Arkadia at first. Archer agreed with Aella and Sinclair seemed to hop on the bandwagon shortly after and gave them directions. He wondered what could've caused such a thing.
"There's this thing called A.L.I.E.," Aella said. "People take the chip and suddenly, they're in some utopia."
"What's the appeal?" Monty asked.
"Utopia. Escape from pain. I can see why they're taking the chip at first, but people know it's out of hand. They must be forcing them to take it now."
"Makes sense to me, but what is this A.I.?"
"I don't understand it, Monty," she said, throwing another stick into the fire.
"I don't understand it, either. It's something about those chips."
"We'll know soon enough," Sinclair piped up. "Be ready."
"Arm up, I guess," Aella ordered. "We don't know if they were followed."
Suddenly, Bellamy and Octavia's quarrel drew the attention of the little group chatting about possible battle plans against a robotic army.
"What more do I have to prove that I am on your side?" Bellamy asked his sister.
"Bring Lincoln back," Octavia muttered lowly, staring into her brother's eyes as if to burn a hole into his heart for the mistakes he made.
Such a task was impossible, so his shoulders slightly sunk in defeat.
"Turning Pike in does not make you one of the good guys, Bellamy" Octavia reminded him. "You did that to save me, not because what you thought Pike was doing to the Grounders was wrong."
"The Grounders we're starving us out."
"Only because you killed 300 of 'em!" Aella told him. "You don't get to defend your actions right now. Those people...they were an army sent to protect us."
"That army could've attacked us at any time and you know it."
"But they didn't attack," Octavia seethed. "You did that. You were hurting and you lashed out because that's what you do. There are consequences, Bell. People get hurt. People die...your people."
It wasn't hard to see that Octavia was fighting back tears.
"Monroe's dead. Lincoln is dead." After a moment, she marched out of the cave.
Aella and Bellamy went to follow, but the sound of a car engine roar and the appearance of bright headlights caused the duo to freeze in their tracks.
"They're here," Miller observed, causing Octavia to turn back as Jasper and Clarke exited the car with Raven's unconscious form.
"Need your help!" Jasper shouted. "We have to get her inside before she wakes up!"
"Were you followed?" Bellamy asked as Aella rushed into action, helping Jasper haul Raven's dead weight into the cave.
Clarke, Octavia, and Bellamy followed, Aella giving a quick embrace to her blonde friend before checking Raven's wounds.
"She cut herself," Aella murmured, noticing her arm. "Long way. No, Raven isn't that reckless and suicidal."
"Raven is not Raven anymore," Jasper said as Sinclair rushed to Aella's side. "None of them are. Jaha's been chipping everyone."
"Jasper's right," Clarke confirmed. "I've seen it with my own eyes."
