Aella Kane had done what few could ever dream of doing; she saved her loved ones and put her life at risk. She survived once again, sporting new scars to prove it.
This time, it was different. She had those she loved around her at all times, making hard times bearable, but here she was alone. She had saved lives and she didn't even get to die at peace with her decisions.
She was glad she lived, of course, but that gratefulness slipped with each passing day.
When she finally caught some semblance of a break, she faced another adversary, as always. This time, it was almost as if history repeated itself in the worst way possible.
But she would get through it with a bloody grin as always, gun raised as she prepared for the onslaught of the workers of Death, the thing that tried to take her more than once.
