Clarke solemnly walked the path to Camp Jaha through the fog with horse-mounted Grounders leading the way with torches in hand.
"Hold your fire!" Bellamy shouted. "She's back."
The gate was opened by one of the guards whose name she didn't care to remember as Finn ran up to her.
"You okay?" he asked.
She grabbed his arm and commanded, "Shut the gate" while pulling Finn away. "You can't be out here."
Clarke ran up to her mother and accepted the hug she was given, desperately needing it after knowing what could happen.
"What did she say?" Abby asked. "Is there a chance for a truce?"
"Yes," she answered.
"What's wrong?" Finn asked, knowing immediately something was wrong with the girl he loved.
"They want you," she said. "If we want a truce, we have to give them Finn."
"What the hell are you talking about?" Raven asked, both nervous and angry.
"That's their offer."
"That's not an offer."
"It's a punishment," Finn mumbled. "For what happened at the village. Blood for blood."
"That's insane," Bellamy chimed in.
"If we refuse?" Abby asked.
"They attack," Clarke said.
With those words, the people of the Ark began to shout about how Finn should give himself up. Byrne tried to kill the fury with order, but the people could not be swayed.
One man moved closer than he should have and remarked, "Give him to the Grounders!"
Then Raven moved forward and shoved the man away, growling, "Back off!"
"Hey, Raven," Clarke said, holding the girl that wasn't listening to a word she said. "Raven, listen to me. Nothing is going to happen to him. I promise, okay?"
She nodded before another man decided to resist.
"I'm not dying for him!" the man exclaimed. "Spacewalker burned three months of oxygen from the Ark. He should've floated a long time ago. Throw him out!"
Raven shoved him, too, shouting, "Back off!"
Byrne tried to restrain her, but only ended up getting socked in the face as two citizens of the Ark dragged the young girl away.
"Let me go!"
The poor girl was going to lose her two best friends in the world if things went south.

"Hey, man," Murphy greeted Finn, sitting down next to him. Night had fallen and they kept their eyes on the Grounders. "Byrne actually gave me a gun. I guess we really are screwed, huh? Look, we kicked their asses last time. We'll do it again."
"A lot of people died last time," he murmured sadly.
"Hey," Bellamy greeted the duo with Clarke by his side. "We're reinforcing all defenses. Doubles on the perimeter. No one's getting past that wire."
"I'll see where they're thin."
"No. You should head inside. B corridor will be easier to defend if it comes to that."
