Clarke and Bellamy were sitting across from each other at dinner two days after finding Finn with the bodies of the Grounders he massacred.
"Okay," Bellamy mumbled. "Tell me again."
"It's a labyrinth," Clarke said, gesturing to the map she drew. "We got to the dam through this tunnel. It's all connected to the mine system. That's our way in."
"Sure, if we can get past the Reapers and the Mountain Men. I swear to God if your mom doesn't sanction a mission soon, I'm going by myself."
"You won't be by yourself."
The two turned to look at Finn when the sound of small chatter began to rise.
"Guess the inquisition's over," Bellamy said. "How's Finn doing anyway?"
"I haven't talked to him since we got back," she admitted. "I don't know what to say. He just kept shooting."
"We're at war, Clarke. We've all done things."
Finn walked up to the duo with a polite, "Hey," before awkwardly standing. Things were very tense between them ever since Finn lost his marbles.
When Clarke didn't respond, Bellamy did with a similar, "Hey."
The silence was deafening and the awkward atmosphere was suffocating, so Bellamy quickly left the two lovebirds alone. Finn immediately took Bellamy's spot across from Clarke and looked at the map she drew.
"Mount Weather?" he asked. "What's the plan?"
"Still working on it," she admitted quietly.
Murphy quickly interrupted and sat in between the two, placing a canister of alcohol on the table.
"Ah!" he said. "Check it out! Salvaged Monty's still from the dropship. If only they could just salvage Monty, huh?"
Clarke glared at him as he sipped on an imitation of Monty's famous moonshine.
"Easy. It was just a joke." He looked at Finn. "Okay. You tell her we were cleared?"
"No," Finn muttered.
"Well, it looks like our pardon for surviving includes our time on the ground. Now bigger fish to fry, I guess."
"We did what we had to do." When Clarke looked at him with a mix of fury and sadness, he decided he had enough. "I got to go."
With those words, he parted from the group and Murphy took another swig of moonshine.
He whistled before asking, "Trouble in paradise?"
"Just because they pardoned you doesn't mean I have," Clarke remarked.
Raven hobbled over and shouted, "Clarke!" She noticed the company and said, "Beat it, Murphy."
He got up and murmured, "Well, then, have a good one."
"I know why we haven't heard from any of the other Ark stations. Mount Weather's jamming us."
"Show me," Clarke demanded.
Raven took Clarke to the workshop she and Wick used when coming up with nerdy ideas that would supposedly help the people in Mount Weather.
"What'd you find?" Clarke asked.
"I tweaked the resonator and got this," Raven explained, staying silent so Clarke could hear the odd buzzing/humming noise emitting from said resonator. "It's on every frequency. Long-range communication is totally screwed. It's also why the range in our walkies suck. It's the same sound Monty heard on the black box of the Exodus ship."
