Here's another chapter for you! I'm going to try to prewrite chapters on my days off, just so there's some that I can upload during lulls of chapterless periods of time.

Octavia was kind enough to lock up Aella and Bellamy together, making snide comments about resolving some lover's quarrel. Of course, that was the only kindness they were going to receive from her. Aella knew Octavia was going to throw them in the pit together to show the people of Wonkru what will happen if they don't march. It won't matter who they were to Blodreina. They would be dead if they didn't do what she said.

Aella was once again wishing for a tennis ball to bounce off the walls in any way to ease her boredom and the anxiety of having to face Death and figure out if she was going to take the souls for Death to reap and if she was going to be one of them. She wasn't facing Bellamy when a tear rolled down her cheek because she knew if there wasn't some divine intervention, she would let Death take her once and for all to save Bellamy because even if she wanted to scream at him for betraying her when it came to the Flame, she wasn't going to kill him in the pit.

She knew Indra would and was admittedly afraid to face the fact that she would kill Indra if it came down to it. Indra would kill them to save her daughter, Gaia would refuse to kill anyone, Bellamy would refuse to hurt any of them, and Aella would kill to save Bellamy. She wasn't sure if she would be able to hurt Gaia, but if she had to, she would try.

That was the scary part. She was willing to kill to save Bellamy because not only was he her friend, but she loved him despite everything. She knew he was going to learn and grow when he made it out alive. Even if he had recently betrayed her trust, she was still so proud to see how much he had grown as a person and knew he would do amazing things if he continued to do so. She had faith in him. She knew him too well, though.

"I won't do it, you know," Bellamy said after an uncomfortably long stretch of time sat in silence. The two sat next to each other on the bench, staring at the door and waiting for who would come in.

Aella didn't even have to ask what he was talking about and replied, "I know you won't. Neither will I."

"Well, that won't work," he said with a hint of humor in his voice. "It can only be one."

"I know," she murmured. She closed her eyes and rested her head on her knees.

"I don't want to do it," he spoke. "Hurt anyone."

"I know," she repeated.

"But if I have to..."

"You would." She lifted her head and looked him in the eye. "Bellamy, if anyone gets out of there, I want it to be you."

"Funny. I was thinking the same thing about you."

"Well, don't even try it."

"Why not?"

"Because I'm gonna make sure it's you and you know how determined I am."

"Then you know how determined I am to stop that."

She sighed. "Bell, I know you. I know you couldn't hurt Indra or Gaia even if you wanted. But I will."

He looked at her and felt saddened by the fact that she was willing to kill for him. He was willing to do the same for her, but knew deep down he probably couldn't go through with it. He knew she could.

"I just...I want to kick you so hard in the balls, but I've seen you grow into someone amazing. I mean, there's still a bit of work to do, but you're amazing. You're reaching your full potential after many bumps in the road and even if it seems like you're different, you're not. You're authentically yourself, everything good and bad."
