LET ME BE SAPPY FOR A MINUTE, OKAY???

Oh my god.

HOW did this story become what it is? It felt like not too long ago I was writing the first chapters and freaking out about my first story that reached over 1k. I didn't delete it as I did with most other stories. Now I gained enough confidence from the reception of this story that I currently have 14 works, 7 of which are published.

I've not only grown as a writer but as a person, no matter how dumb and cheesy as fuck that sounds. Like...

dsdaflsdkjfdshlffdsjfhadsljg okay I'm done being a sap.

Also, Eliza Taylor's acting in this episode is absolutely phenomenal. If I already wasn't in love with her...oops.

Clarke giving up and then finding the will to keep going is why even though Clarke makes questionable decisions, I love her regardless. I admire that strength. Out of all the badass things she's ever done, I think that has to be #1. To keep going when she has nothing is so fucking strong and weirdly empowering.

ALSO, I love Echo's character development but I hate the relationship with Bellamy. Not only do I think it's sort of a way to show character development the easy way without showing through her actions (which come later, but this is an easy cop-out to show she changed in the time span), but their relationship was built on betrayal. Betrayal sucks enough, but her actions led to about 50 of his people dying which sent him in a downward spiral. She's changed, but I think they should've been friends before pursuing a relationship. I would've loved to see a friendship THEN a relationship build in the present-day storyline even after Clarke if it was supposed to last. If not, it's a plot device that kinda sucks #sorrynotsorry.

But I'm still gonna include the relationship because the show writers do what the show writers do.

BOLD = Trigedasleng

How long can someone stay in isolation?

The answer varies on the person in isolation. Stories of shipwrecked sailors weren't uncommon a long time ago. They said some of these sailors could spend years without human contact. They also didn't know if these sailors went insane and ended up talking to nothing to fill the silence. "They" were the storytellers. "They" were long dead, but Aella Kane was not.

The first days were the easiest.

Navigating the world and trying to figure out where she ended up was Aella's first task. If she happened to find Clarke along the way, that'd be great too.

She didn't have to eat much, but when black rain came down, she could fill her water bottle. She didn't know how long a Nightblood could drink black rainwater until it killed them, but she would find out one way or another.

When her stash became low, she was looking up asking for a godsend.

Then a vulture appeared almost out of nowhere. Somehow, there was still some life on this newly desolate planet. It made sense to her, though, since A.L.I.E. did tell her about 5% of the world would still be habitable, only she didn't know where those habitable places were.

She took this vulture as a sign of good luck and tried to follow it home. It never went back home, though, so she killed it.

She felt bad about it, especially since it was a good luck charm of sorts. It didn't matter because she was starving and it made more a good meal.

Every time she was starving, another vulture appeared. She figured it mistook her for something dead since most days she felt it and it might've started to show. Each vulture never took her back from where it came, almost like it appeared out of nowhere. A godsend.
