Aella had stood outside with the others while Clarke stayed with Abby. She touched her throat and tears welled up in the back of her eyes before she blinked them away.
Noticing this, Bellamy gave his gun to Murphy and brought Aella away from the group, sitting her down on the ground while he kneeled in front of her.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
"I will be," she answered, her hand practically itching to touch the marks she had on her neck. "I will be once A.L.I.E. is dead. Speaking of, once Clarke is done, we are going to take that damn Flame and finish this once and for all."
"Okay," he murmured in defeat. "Okay."
She wrapped her arms around him and he carefully returned the gesture, helping her stand up while locked in the embrace.
"I thought you were a goner. I was so worried. I shouldn't have let you go through with it."
"No one knew it was a trap, Bellamy. I'm going to be fine and you would've had to sedate me to stop me. I'd do it again if I had to. They were going to hurt you."
"They were?"
"If I wasn't there, they would've brought you in and hurt you so one of us would spill."
"You did it for us?"
"You would've been first, Bellamy. I did it for you."
He broke the embrace a little just to kiss her forehead and tell her, "I should start stepping up."
She chuckled a little, responding with, "I think we should all just take a vacation. No need for stepping up. Just live in peace by some river and live off roots and fish. Bathe in the sun and not worry about who will pop up to kill us next."
"I'd like that."
"I know you would."
He kissed her neck and told her, "We'll take that vacation someday."
She nodded and he left, grabbing his gun from Murphy so he could talk to Aella. Murphy immediately embraced his best friend and refused to let her go. A faint smile crossed her lips as she held onto him.
"How dare you scare me like that," Murphy said. "Damn you."
"I love you too," she responded. "God, I missed you so much. Next time, you don't stay in Polis to protect Clarke because she'll come back without you."
"Lesson learned."
"Good." She kissed his forehead and both of his cheeks before he returned to the door, waiting for the signal. Archer held his bow up, ready to shoot just in case, and she felt proud of him.
"This is taking too long," Bellamy muttered as he kicked open the throne room door, training his gun on Abby.
"Hey, no!" Clarke shouted. "It's okay. I used the EMP. She's back."
"Well, what about Ontari?" Murphy asked. "You said we have one shot with that thing."
"I told you Ontari is no longer an option for the Flame." She stood up. "She's brain dead." She turned to Bellamy. "Is the floor secure?"
"For now," he answered. "Jaha and the guards are tied up in a bedroom."
"We took out the elevator and the ladder as we climbed," Pike added. "The stairs are collapsed. No one's following us."
"Good," Clarke responded. "Then we have time."
"What we don't have is a way down," Murphy retorted.
