WHOOPS the insomniac is back at it again writing chapters in the A.M. Sorry this took so long. My full-time job is kicking my ass.

I don't know why it took so long...this feels like more of a filler with kinda important information for later. I'd say I'll update more, but then it might suck more. :)

Aella was irritable after spending about a week in a glorified cell in the massive Polis tower. During that week, she mumbled about how Lexa was being a bitch when said bitch strolled into the room with an air of confidence and slight anger pouring from her every move.

"What do you want?" Aella asked, looking up at the leader. Deciding she didn't want to look weak, she stood up to meet Lexa's height.

"You stand so you meet me eye-to-eye," Lexa stated. "You don't want me to view you as a weak leader, correct?"

"I suppose so, but what you think doesn't really matter to me anymore."

"How unfortunate. Here I was thinking we could be friends."

"It's been a week. What do you want with me and Clarke? Why are we separated from each other and why are we here in the first place?"

"I have an offer that I hope you won't refuse."

"What could you have that I want?"

"An offer for peace."

"You want peace after you left my people to die? Left me to die? You betrayed Clarke and my people. That and Finn died for nothing since you didn't stick to your word."

"My word? What was my word?"

"I don't know, an alliance? We had an alliance and you broke it. I'm pissed."

"Blood must have blood, Aella. That is why your friend is dead. I cannot bring him back and I know how you'd wish to have my head on a spike, but we need each other if we want peace. If I recall, that's what you've wanted from the start, Azripa."

"It's what I wanted until I decided you weren't worth the risk. I don't want to play your peace game until you decide it's a lot more fun to kill my people."

"You think of me as a savage?" Lexa asked, almost offended.

"I hate you, Lexa," Aella stated bluntly. "You betrayed Clarke and my people, kidnapped us-"

"I saved you."

"From what? Returning to my people?"

"Ice Nation. You were going to be killed, according to the prince."

"Maybe I was okay with dying, but I guess we won't know. Actually, we do know. I'd rather be dead than in your presence."

"Harsh. Okay." She did the one thing she didn't want to do and sunk to her knees, showing a small sign of defeat. It was a bit uncharacteristic for Lexa to even do such a thing, so it was serious. "I need you to agree. I want Skaikru to be the 13th clan."

"And what makes you think I'd agree?"

"The 12 clans...11 clans would protect your people from any and all Ice Nation attacks. Would you let your people die for your pride?"

"I wouldn't let anyone die for my pride. You know that."

"Is that a yes?"

"No. My answer is simple: I won't cut your head off and I'll consider the deal."

"Your anger is strong, but it's clear you lead with your head and not your heart. You want blood for Finn, but I'm afraid I will not comply. Any other action is one of smart leadership. You put your pride aside for your people."
