I was in the shower, letting the warm water cascade over me, trying to wake up fully and prepare for my morning lectures. My mind kept replaying my complaints to my mom the previous night about the pink overload in my dorm: pink bed, pink sheets, pink tissues, pink brush, pink clothes, pink shoes... I stopped counting because even thinking about it made me groan.
Allison hadn't returned from the party she went to last night. I picked up my phone and froze — twenty missed calls from Stephen. Of course, I had put it on silent. I sighed, knowing he wouldn't care how many times he had to call, even if it drained my battery. But I didn't have time to deal with him this morning. I had to get to my English class.
Suddenly, I heard a strange noise coming from my room. My pulse spiked. I stepped out of the shower naked, not bothering to wrap myself in a towel — the door had been locked. Maybe it was a rat? I had to find out.
I didn't expect what I saw.
Aaron. Sitting on Allison's bed, completely caught off guard, and now just as stunned as I was — only he wasn't the one screaming.
"Oh my god!" I shrieked, frantically grabbing for anything to cover myself.
"Oh! I-I'm so sorry!" he stammered, throwing his leather jacket toward me. It barely covered anything. My face burned as I yanked one of the pink towels from the bed and wrapped it around myself.
"What are you doing here?!" I demanded, my voice sharp with panic and anger. How dare he invade my privacy? Who even does this?!
"Sharon... I swear, I didn't know!" Aaron said, his blue eyes wide with guilt. "I didn't realize your dorm was the same as my twin sister's."
"Wait... Allison's your sister?" I asked, still holding the towel tightly.
"Yeah."
"I didn't realize that," I muttered, calming slightly, though my cheeks still burned.
"That's because we're not identical," he said, shrugging sheepishly. Then he frowned. "Do you know where she is? She didn't pick up my calls last night."
"She just said she was going to a party," I replied.
"Oh." He looked genuinely concerned.
I crossed my arms, trying to regain some composure. "By the way... how did you get in? I locked the door."
"I have a spare key," he said casually.
What? My heart skipped. Why would Allison give him a spare key? He's not even her boyfriend... and now he saw my body! I felt a mix of embarrassment and outrage.
I cleared my throat, forcing my voice to stay calm. "Aaron... I... I need to get dressed."
"Go ahead. I won't look," he said, immediately turning his back.
I exhaled, letting my tension ease just a little. But Stephen's words came rushing back to me, echoing in my mind:
"The only person who has the right password to your body is me. I don't even want any guy looking at it because once they see your holy blessing, all they'll want is... well, you know. Your body is a spell, believe me."
I had laughed at the time. "Don't be ridiculous, Stephen," I had told him.
But now, wrapped in that pink towel, standing across from Aaron... I wasn't laughing.
I lost myself for a moment in thought, arranging my clothes on the bed, completely forgetting that Aaron was still staring at me.
Then, the door slammed open.
Stephen.
He didn't even look surprised. Not in the least.
"Bravo," he said, clapping slowly, a mischievous smirk spreading across his face.
I froze, my cheeks flaming, towel clutched like a shield.
Aaron, on the other hand, looked mortified — caught between horror and guilt, while Stephen just... enjoyed it.
I swallowed hard. My morning was already off to a disastrous start.
