Patricia slipped out quietly, her footsteps swallowed by the chaos behind her. No one noticed she was gone. No one was paying attention to anything except the truth that had just detonated in the room.

"Kat... we also made a mistake that night," Veronica said, her voice trembling as though each word scraped her throat. "Bella is Wilson's daughter. I'm so sorry. I know this is... a lot to take in."

The room went dead silent for half a second—then it exploded.

"Oh my God!" Kat screamed, her face draining of color. "Wilson? Wilson?!" She lunged forward, gripping his shirt with shaking fists, her nails digging into the fabric like she wanted to tear through it and reach his skin. "How could you do this to me?! How could you lie to me?!"

Wilson stood frozen, his mouth opening and closing, but no words came out.

"You lied!" Kat sobbed, shoving his chest. "You lied to me for eighteen years! Every single day of my life—you looked me in the eye and lied!"

Bella let out a broken sound, something between a cry and a gasp, before her legs gave out beneath her. She dropped to her knees, her hands clutching at her chest as if her heart were tearing itself apart.

"Mom..." she cried, tears streaming down her face. "Is this why you never told me the truth? Is this why?" Her voice cracked completely. "I'm his daughter? All this time?"

"Mom, this is too much for Sharon," Bella says weakly, my own body shaking as I held onto Carly's leg like it was the only thing keeping me upright. "You shouldn't have said anything. Not like this."

"Bella, I'm sorry," Veronica said, kneeling slightly, her eyes glossy with guilt. "I just... I didn't want Kat carrying this guilt alone. We all made mistakes. Every single one of us."

Kat laughed bitterly, the sound hollow and sharp. "Mistakes?" she repeated. "You call this a mistake?"

"Kat... you should have just told me," Peter said quietly, covering his face with his hands, his shoulders slumping as if the weight of everything had finally crushed him. "All these years... God."

"Sharon," Carly turned to me, desperation written all over her face. "Forgive your mom. She didn't want to see you hurt. Believe me."

My chest tightened, my breath coming in uneven gasps. My head spun, memories crashing into one another—half-truths, strange silences, moments that never quite made sense.

"Tell me," I screamed, my voice ripping through the room. "Tell me you didn't know about this. Tell me!" My throat burned, my eyes stung, but I refused to cry. Not yet.

"I'm so sorry, Sharon," Carly whispered, her voice barely audible. Her remorse did nothing to dull the pain—it only sharpened it.

"I can't believe this," I said, shaking my head slowly. "Matt..." I turned to him, betrayal twisting my stomach.

"Sharon, it was for the best," he said, his tone careful, almost pleading. "It would have destroyed you. That's why I never told you."

"For the best?" I laughed, the sound ugly and broken. "So all this time, I've been the fool. I've been living inside lies—surrounded by them." Tears finally spilled over. "I begged you to tell me the truth. I felt it. I knew something was felt untold.
The door creaked open.

"What's going on here?" Stephen asked as he stepped inside, his brows knitting together in confusion as his eyes darted from one devastated face to another.

"They're all liars," I said, my voice collapsing as I buried my face into his chest, gripping his shirt like a lifeline.

"Sharon," Peter said softly, moving toward me.

"Don't," I snapped, stepping back immediately. "Don't come near me."

I turned fully to Stephen, clutching his hands with both of mine. "Please," I begged, my voice barely holding together. "Take me away from here. I can't stand them. I can't breathe here."

"Sharon, please!" my mom screamed, her voice breaking apart behind me. "Don't leave! I love you!"

I didn't turn back.

I couldn't.

With Stephen beside me, I walked away—leaving the truth, the lies, and the shattered past behind, even though every step felt like tearing my own heart out.
