Hey sinners I'm sorry for not updating this past week I was grounded. But you know I hate to dissapoint so I made a longer chapter for this week and added some nice fluff on top.
The YouTube video is for the movie mentioned and I swear it's my faverite zombie movie]
Lapis POV
I knew Peri wouldn't think of this as a fancy thing, so I decided I would go simple. A dark blue print Tee, and some short black capris. It was comfortable and I looked good, so I assumed it was fine.
I'd be lying if I said I had anything other than going over to Peri's on my mind. I breathed in deeply.
I'd dated a few times before, but honestly they were nothing to me.things to please my father. Not that it mattered now.
But Peri was diffrent. So unsure... but I could tell she was growing a bit more comfortable. I smiled at the thought as i walked towards the news building.
I wondered what Steven had wanted, but didn't miss the opportunity to leave. I didn't want to seem like I had just randomly came back.
I stepped in, and Steven walked over.
"Glad you came." He gave me a warm smiled and I huffed.
"What did you want steven? Something wrong?" He shook his head.
"No... not... maybe?" He looked a little unsure. "It depends on how you look at it..." I tilted my head in curiosity.
"Well... uh....hehe.... you see..." I groaned.
"Spit it out steven." He smiled, looking down. He grumbled something and I raised my brow. "What was that?"
He sighed. "I... I'm the new boss...." he looked at me, unsure, but I let my jaw drop. "SAY WHAT NOW? YOU? BOSS? WHA-"
Steven stepped back at my outburst, but I hugged him. "Steven that's great! But... wait what about your dad?" I looked at him, curios.
"He wants to move to the coast, and wants me to run this place now. I wasn't sure how you'd take it... I mean I'm younger than you and I'm already the owner..." he said it nervously, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Are you kidding? Having my best friend as my boss is..." I stopped. "Yeah okay that's a little weird... but I'm happy for you! And now I don't have to pick boring stories." I put my hand on my hip, smiling.
He smiled back. "Thanks, lapis." I shrugged.
"I do have to go though, I have a da-" I stopped myself again, turning a bit red and chuckling nervously. "I have a... a... a daily thing... to uh... do.. bye." I turned and walked out, slapping my face.
Daily thing? Really? Could I not be more suspicious? I sighed and made my way home.
---------------------------------------------------------------
It was about 6:30, and I was about 5 minutes from Peri's. I had texted her, and she said she was gonna cook something too.
I had a relaxed smile on my face, which grew a bit wider when her building came into veiw. I looked down at the entrance and my smile faded.
A familier blonde was leaned up against a black car, a phone to his ear. I moved to an alleyway and peeked, growling under my breath.
It was bad enough he had been at the party, what did he want NOW?
