Historia's POV:

I close out of the latest chatroom and place my phone on the table beside my couch. It was just Jaehee and I in the messenger, but she had to get back to work, leaving me to do nothing. I let out a sigh and look out the window.

It's a sunny day with most likely warm temperatures. There are only few white clouds in the blue sky. The grass is green, and the trees have just as green leaves.

Just as my thoughts start to consume me, I hear my phone buzz. I look over at my phone and pick it up. As I read the text, I notice it's from Seven.

'Historia, I need your help with looking through the messenger's data. Mind helping?'

I smile at the text and feel my face grow ever so slightly warm. I know I have a crush on the hacker, however I'd never admit it out loud to someone.

I text Seven back, saying I'll help him. He replies within minutes telling me it would be easier for me to go to his house so we can talk face to face. Again, I agree. I quickly place my phone in my pocket and grab everything I'll need while at Seven's house.

I knock on Seven's front door and take a step back. It takes a minute before Seven opens the door and smiles, letting me in.

"Hi, Historia. Thanks for helping," Seven says to me, as he walks into his room with all his computers. I nod and follow him.

Once we get to Seven's room, I sit down at a desk and set all my equipment up. Seven starts to explain everything that needs to be done. He talks about checking the messenger for bugs and reorganizing all the folders full of data.

"I'll check the messenger for bugs," I state, turning to my computer screen.

"Okay. Be sure not to miss anything," Seven says before going to his computer.

I start to read through all the data, searching for anything that seems off. Every now and then, I slightly turn my head to see what Seven is doing.

~~~~
Seven and I go through the messenger for about a good hour before both of our phones go off. I look down at my phone, only to see a notification from the messenger that someone has entered the chatroom.
I take my hands off my keyboard and mouse, and I grab my phone, logging onto the messenger. Zen is the one that logged onto the chatroom. I smile at my phone. A little break can't hurt. I go into the chatroom and start "flirting" with Zen.
I chat with Zen for a minutes or two, before I hear Seven let out a sigh and walk out of the room. I tell Zen I have to go and leave the chatroom.
Wondering what's wrong with Seven, I get out of my seat and follow him out of the room. I follow Seven all the way to the kitchen, where he sits on one of the two chairs at the table with his head between his hands.
"What's wrong?" I ask, standing at the entrance to the kitchen.
Seven doesn't answer me.
"Seven? What's wrong?" I repeat, walking toward Seven.
I sit in the chair opposite to Seven, as he lets out a long sigh.
"Maybe, it would be better if you just leave. You know, and spend some time with your boyfriend, Zen," Seven snaps.
I stare at Seven, confused and shocked by what he just said.
"All I wanted to do was hangout with you in the same house, Historia. But, instead, you went on the messenger and didn't seem to care about me," Seven says, getting up from his seat. "You can go over Zen's house and hangout with him, since you clearly don't want to be around me."
I'm still confused as to what Seven means. I watch as he walks out of the kitchen. Just before leaving, Seven stops and turns around.
"I have feelings for you, you know. It hurts seeing you care about someone else when I'm right here," Seven looks to the ground as he speaks.
"I was just messing around with him. In all honesty, I like you too," I feel my face grow warm with those last few words.
Seven looks at me, confused.
"Why would you mess with him like that? You'll only end up hurting him," Seven replies.
"I just figured he was play flirting with me, so I did it back," I answer. "I didn't want anyone to figure out my feelings for you. That's also why I did it."
Seven doesn't say anything back to me. He looks back down to the ground. It looks like I hurt him without even knowing it.
"I'm sorry for not spending time with you and being on the messenger. I didn't know you felt that way about me," I apologize. "I'll spend time with you now-"
"If you can settle this whole thing with Zen without hurting him, maybe we can hang out then. Until then, your stuff is in the other room. You know where the front door is," Seven says before walking away.
I watch as Seven leaves. When he is gone, all I can do is stare. Maybe, I shouldn't have pretended I had feelings for Zen. That probably just ruined my friendship with Zen and my friendship with Seven.
I walk back into the room with all my stuff in it. It's all already cleaned and packed. Seven must have done it. I sigh and gather it all, as I rethink my decisions.
I leave Seven's house and get into my car. I feel lonely, broken, lost. Why did I have to fake feelings for Zen? It only made things worse.
