Chapter 15: Letter

Jared's POV

"Our nervous system is the main reason why our body reacts in different ways. For example, when we blush it's caused by the sympathetic nervous system which activates your fight or flight response."

My eyes are fixed intensely on my teacher however my mind is actually flying somewhere. I am thinking about the other gang group. I've been trying to hide my identity and now someone knew about me as Dark Hawk. Alam kong sa mga susunod na araw ay susugod na sila sa amin.

'Sino ba iyong may nalalaman pang nickname nickname na Dark Hawk? Bakit hindi mo nalang gawin na Ultraman o kaya Blue Ranger? Pinapahirapan mo pa ang sarili mo.'

Ipinilig ko ang ulo ko dahil sa naalala ko. Why did I remember that stupid monkey? It's been a week since I last saw her. I haven't seen her annoying smile. And...

Napahawak ako sa dibdib ko. It's here again. Every time I think of her, my heart always beats in an odd way. It started when we saved Harry's friend. I tried to ignore it at first, but it's worsening by the day. Tsk. Poor girl. I must have subconsciously despised her so much.

"So far, blushing is only exclusive for humans. That's why class, Charles Darwin mentioned that blushing is the most peculiar and the most human of all expressions." 

Palagi akong kinukulit nina Tristan kung bakit hindi na sumasama sa amin ang babaeng iyon. Psh. Kapag kasama pa namin ang ang unggoy na iyon baka mabunyag na sa lahat ang grupo namin lalo na sa St. Therese. Also, speaking of Lotus, I know Austin--their leader--is just waiting for the right opportunity. I'm not afraid, but it's quite inconvenient considering my position at school.

"Next class, we will have a long quiz!"

Umingay naman ang buong paligid bilang reklamo. Tsk. We're in the first section, but I'm not sure why my classmates dislike it. Matapos magpaalam ang teacher namin ay nagsimula ng magsilapitan ang mga classmates ko.  They're asking me different favors. Hah! Useless trashes.

"Jared! Are you available this Friday? We need you for our soccer practice game kasama ang Magsaysay Academy." 

"Sure," nakangiting tango ko. Sa likod ng isipan ko ay isang nakakainsultong ngisi ang pinakawalan ko. Weaklings. Hindi ba nila kayang manalo ng wala ako? 

"Salamat president!" 

Sumunod naman ang iba ko pang mga classmates. I just nodded and smiled at them. Some of them might think I'm that helpful, but they didn't know that I'm actually doing it to my own advantage. The captain of our school's soccer team will soon realize it. 

"Look! Diba siya iyong nagdrawing kay president sa exhibit?" 

Napatingin ako sa itinuro ng classmate ko mula sa labas ng classroom namin. Kausap ni Shana ang teacher namin kanina. Kumabog na naman ang malakas ang puso ko nang makita ko siya. Damn! Why can't I stop staring at her? That monkey girl is smiling like a fool again in front of our teacher, and then she suddenly looked into my direction. She caught me looking at her! I can feel that my ears are getting hot.

Then, she avoided my gaze and acted as if she didn't see me. WTF?! What's up with that monkey? Alam kong sinabihan ko siya na huwag na kaming magpansinan pero sa akin lang dapat iyon. I should be the one ignoring her. 

Oh well, why am I bothering myself? Matawagan nga sina Winston. Mabuting pang magpa-init kami mamaya kasama ang gang ng Magsaysay Academy. The Viper is planning to take over that place. They're under Lotus right now pero alam kong maaagaw ko rin sila. Napangisi ako sa naisip.

Shana's POV

ILANG araw na akong nawawala sa sarili. Nagtataka nga si Julia kung ano raw ang problema ko. Dahil ba daw iyon sa naging reaksiyon ni Jared sa drawing. Better luck next time nalang daw sa pagpapansin ko. Napabuntong-hininga ako. Kung sana iyon lang. Kung sana hindi nangyari iyong sa may garden.
