The next day while the babies were taking their morning nap, Meryl was cleaning and doing laundry while Don was setting up things in what would be Brad's therapy room. As he was busy putting together Brad's therapy furniture his phone rang, he answered it putting it on speaker so he could still work on the furniture when he saw who it was. "Hey, chicken shit! You're on speaker while I put together Dad's therapy furniture."

"Hey, numb nuts." Larry laughed as he was packing. "How are things going?"

Don smiled; he and Meryl were both feeling more relaxed. "Good, Dad should be home by the weekend then the kids and all of you will be here next week. Meryl has this place looking and feeling like Christmas. I even hired Jeff Hoover to play Santa for our granddaughter and your godson and goddaughter next week."

"You two have been busy." Larry laughed. "I hope you two don't have plans tonight."

Don didn't know Meryl was walking by when Larry said that. "We'll just have dinner here, play and feed babies and watch TV."

"Well that sounds thrilling." Larry teased. "Cancel those plans because Lizzie and I are coming in early; and we have planned girls' and guys' night."

Don stopped what he was doing as he looked at the phone; not knowing his wife had walked into the room, setting down the laundry basket. "You're coming already?"

"That's right; and you, me, Bill, Mark, Steve, Topper, Richard, George and Bobby are going to the Yard House at 7." Larry said talking about all of Don's brothers, Larry's sister Annie's husband Bobby and Don's cousin Stacey's husband George. "Then Lizzie, Julie, Sherry, Sheryl, Annie, Stacey and Meryl will just be a few blocks away at St. Elmo's Steakhouse. Mom and Dad are babysitting the babies. You two need to get out of the house and have some fun; I'm not taking no for an answer."

Don loved what their families were doing for them, that his brothers and their wives were all in on this; but he didn't like the idea with Rebecca on the loose. "I appreciate it, bud; but I'm going to pass."

"He'll be there, Larry." Meryl said making Larry laugh once she made her presence known and her husband gave her a look. "I'm glad you guys are planning that."

Larry had a feeling that would happen. "And you'll go out with the girls; right?"

"I'm not sure about that; but I greatly appreciate your parents offering to babysit." Meryl said as she and Don just looked at each other. "I think getting Don out for some fun and beers with the guys is just what he needs."

Don rolled his eyes. "We're gonna talk; and I'll call you back, okay?"

"I had a feeling." Larry laughed. "See you soon."

Don hung up the phone and looked at his wife. "Babe, I'm not comfortable going."

"Sweetheart, when is the last time you went out with the guys?" Meryl asked him. "And I don't mean the 2 hours you were gone for your father's bachelor's party."

Don shook his head. "You haven't gone out either."

"Baby, this last year has been crazy; you barely left my side during my pregnancy and I couldn't do much. Then I was recovering, your accident, the trials, you were recovering and now being here. I love that we have been together so much; and I couldn't handle the babies without you these first few months. I meant what I said last night, I'm not ready to leave the babies to work; but that doesn't mean we can't start living our lives." Meryl pointed out as she sat down next to her husband. "I'm not going to let psychos like Rebecca and Mann win. I want you to have this time with the guys. I know you'll be safe surrounded by the guys and of course the fact that Bobby the Commissioner of the Indianapolis police will be there."
