While Don was finishing up in the bathroom shaving, Meryl went out to the bedroom to get dressed. She first checked in on their babies who were thankfully still sleeping away in their bassinets; and weren't fussy like they were earlier in the morning. She started to think the past few days had been too much stimulation for them; and she was glad that things would be a little calmer. Or so she thought. Just as she finished getting dressed, she heard her cell phone ring. She quickly went to answer it, without even bothering to see who was calling, for fear it would wake the babies. "Hello?"

"I hear congratulations are in order." Dana's drunk voice said on the other end of the phone. "I hear you fooled Donny boy into marrying you...again. What? All the other times weren't enough? You had to lie to him again about your sickening love?"

Meryl knew she should have hung up when she realized who it was. "What in the hell are you talking about, Dana?"

"Did you lie to him again yesterday?" Dana slurred. "Did you tell him how much you loved him and always would? It is just a matter of time until he sees through you and leaves you. You don't really love him. If you did, then he wouldn't have been assaulted and your babies that you supposedly love wouldn't have been abducted; Mags would have been better off with me."

Meryl knew how wrong her brother was; but there was a small part of her that listened and took to heart what he was saying. "You're drunk, Dana David; and it is barely 9am in the morning. Leave us alone. You can't even comprehend how much I love my husband and my children. Don't you DARE threaten my baby!"

"Everyone leaves you; don't they? John, Mom, Dad, William Walker, Matthew Donald...everyone." Dana said taking another drink of scotch. "Your so called love wasn't enough for any of them and it won't be enough for Don. You are a self-righteous bitch who will finally feel how I feel. Alone. Unworthy. Fuck the world."

Meryl shook her head at her brother. "I will NEVER be like you, Dana David Streep. NEVER. Mama and Daddy are shaking their heads at you right now. Don't you EVER speak about mine and Don's angel babies...NOT EVER."

"You think your life is so damn perfect, Mary Louise?" Dana asked as she downed the rest of his bottle of scotch. "Call me when Don leaves you, because he will; and then we will talk."

Meryl couldn't listen to anymore of this; it sure wasn't getting them anywhere, and was just making her believe him more and more. "Go to hell."

"Oh, I will." Dana said. "And I'll see you there."

Meryl quickly ended the phone call and threw her cell phone down on the bedside table as she sat on the bed, twirling her wedding rings. She thought about what Dana said. She loved Don and all of their children with everything in her; there is no one who could EVER love her children and husband as much and in the ways that she did. They were everything to her. But what if he was right? What if her love wasn't enough? What if Don thought she was putting on some sort of act or something? That would kill her. She knew he would never think that; and she also knew that if he knew what Dana said that not even she could calm him down. That is when she decided not to tell him in order to protect him. "I'd do anything for you, Don Man." Meryl whispered as she thought about how happy he finally was and she didn't want anything negative to touch him. "I'll prove to you and our children how much I love you...how much I love all of you."

After finishing shaving and getting dressed, Don was ready to spend time with his wife and babies. He absolutely couldn't wait for them to get to their destination and to spend the next few weeks relaxing and decompressing after all the shit that had happened. Don's huge smiled disappeared when he walked into the bedroom and saw his wife sitting on the bed, looking down, as she twirled her wedding ring. This wasn't the happy and joyful Meryl from the past week, after they put all the shit behind them. She had been his wife for so long that he knew something wasn't right with her. Something happened; and he wanted to know just who stole his wife's joy and happiness because it was NOT okay with him. "Baby, are you okay?"
