On your first day of adulthood, I am going to give you the best advice ever. It only goes downhill from here! Just kidding, baby girl. Today marks the first day of a journey of limitless opportunities for your future. I love you so much and proud of the young woman you have become. You are a wonderful mother, daughter, and sister. I don't want you to have no worries today, the only thing I want you to do is live your best life today!

Love Always, Mom!

My eyes filled with tears after reading the birthday card my mom left in my room. She had to sneak this in while I was sleeping.

The card wasn't the only thing she left me though. Before I even read the card, there was 5 hundred-dollar bills blocking the little note she had wrote me. Gladly accepting the money, I had put it on my nightstand. I don't plan to spend any money today, but I definitely will have that in my purse just in case.

The other gift she had for me was sitting inside a Giuseppe bag. My excitement increased as I reached my hand into the bag to pull out the shoe box. My eyes widen as I thought about the possible shoes inside.

If my mother held the title for anything, it would be for her mean shoe game and I know she wouldn't buy me anything less of what she would wear herself.

The moment I opened the box and saw the pair of pink heels, I couldn't help but to squeal and rock back and forth with them in my arms "They are so fucking beautiful"

Damn my mom has taste.

Calming my excitement down a little, I placed the heels back in the box and got up from the bed. It was already six in the morning, so I need to be getting ready for school.

Walking into the bathroom I turned the shower on to the perfect degree. If I have enough time I will straighten out my hair. I should have done that last night, but I was being beyond lazy.

After spending at least half an hour in the shower my phone began to buzz with nothing but notifications. It seemed a bit early for people to be wishing me a happy birthday on social media, but then again it might just be my close friends and family members who are up around this time. I don't talk closely enough for people to care to send me a happy birthday text or post at 6:30 in the morning.
