"Shut it down, Dr, Selvig." Tony warned at the roof of the Stark Tower.

"It's too late. It can't stop now. He wants to show us something. A new universe." Selvig denied Tony's request.

"Okay." He aimed for the CMS and fired. The CMS sent him and Selvig back. Meanwhile the CMS was unharmed.

"The barrier is pure energy. It's unreachable." JARVIS informed.

"Yeah, I got that." Tony sassed and looked down at Loki. "Time for plan B."

"Sir, the Mark 7 is not ready for deployment."

"Then skip the spinning rim. We're on the clock." He landed and the gauntlet unsuited him. Loki looked up with a mischievous smile as they walked into the penthouse.

"Please tell me you're going to appeal to my humanity." Loki spoke first.

"Uh... Actually, I'm planning to threaten you." Tony walked down the stairs.

"You should have left your armor on for that."

"Yeah, it's seen a bit of mileage." Tony walked down went straight to the bar. "You've got the blue stick of destiny. Would you like a drink?"

Loki laughed lightly. "Stalling won't change anything."

"No, no, no. Threatening." Tony corrected. "No drink? You sure. I'm having one."

"The Chitauri are coming. Nothing will change that. What have I to fear?"

"The Avengers." The genius answered. Loki looked at him confused. "It's what we call ourselves Sort of like a team. 'Earths mightiest heroes' type thing."

"Yes, I've met them."

Tony gave him a flat smile before he spoke again. "Yeah, takes us a while to get any traction, I'll give you that one. But, lets do a headcount here. Your brother, the demi-God; a super-soldier, a living legend who kind of lives up to the legend;" Tony discreetly put on the bracelets. "a man with breath-taking anger management issues; a couple of master assassins; an alien, and you, big fella, you've managed to piss off every single one of them."

"That was the plan."

"Not a great plan. When they come, and they will, they'll come for you."

"I have an army." Loki threatened

"We have a Hulk." Tony threatened back instantly.

"I thought the beast had wandered off."

"You're missing the point. There's no throne, there is no version of this, where you come out up top. Maybe your army comes and maybe it's too much for us, but it's all on you. Because if we can't protect the Earth, you can be damed well sure that we'll avenge it."
