Nidavellir

--

Hope these dwarves are better at forging than they are cleaning." Rocket complained, the 4 walking through the desolate area and Groot's stupid video game beeping everything he does something. "Maybe they realized that they live in a junk pile in the middle of space."

Thor looked around with confusion. "The forge hasn't gone dark in centuries."

"You said Thanos had a gauntlet, right?" Rocket asked them, looking at something in particular.

"Yes, why?" Thor responded.

"It look anything like that?" Everyone's heads turned to were Rocket was facing, a silver mold of the gauntlet stood like a warning.

"I am Groot."

"Go back to the pod." Thor ordered them worriedly. But, it was too late as a large dwarf slapped Thor meters away and then kicked Groot and Rocket to the side. It all happened so quickly that Astra wasn't prepared and thrown into a pit filled with scrap metals.

The dwarf rushed to get back to Thor, his fist ready for a punch. "Eitri, wait!" The god called out, the dwarf's large hand was held high. "Stop!"

"Thor?" Eitri wondered, grief written on his face.

Thor nodded as he now relaxed a bit more. "What happened here?"

"You were suppose to protect us." He said lowly, going back to his offensive mode. "Asgard was suppose to protect us."

"Argard was destroyed." Thor calmed him. "Eitri, the glove. What did you do?"

The dwarf stomped past and by this time Rocket and Groot were already standing, Groot's game even glitching. Astra dug herself out of the scraps, pulling herself from the pit and watching as the dwarf sloshed into a chair. When Thor said dwarves built the weapons, she was expecting Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, not a house.

"300 dwarfs lived on this ring." He told them dimly. "I thought if I did what he asked, they'd be safe. I made what he wanted. A device capable of harnessing the power of the stones." He stammered a bit before forcing himself to finish. "And he killed everyone anyway. All except me. 'All life is your's', he said, 'but your hands are mine alone.'"

"Thanos?" Astra asked, even though she already knew the answer.

"Eitri, this isn't about your hands." Thor stated. "Every weapon you've ever designed, every axe, hammer, sword, it's all inside your head. Now, I know it feels like all hope is lost. Trust me, I know. But together, you and I, can kill Thanos."

Eitri dien;t say anything at first, then his eyes switched to look at Astra. "Not without her we can't."

"What do you mean?" The brunette wondered.

"I know a cosmicite when I see one." He answered, standing up straight. "And you may need the proper armor."
