Xandar

When the ship crashed there was gray dust in the black atmosphere. Fires burning that would soon distinguish. And the song OOH Child playing as the heroes struggled to get up. Astra herself, felt a large pain in her thigh.
"I called him an idiot." Rocket scolded himself while holding the twigs that used to belong to Groot. Around them the civilians of Xandar crowded around them, looked around curiously and fearfully. Especially as Ronan came back, walking slowly to savor the moment. "You killed Groot!" Rocket shouted and attempted to make an attack, being shoved to the side by the power of the stone.
"Behold." Ronan began to mock. "Your guardians of the galaxy. What fruit have they wrought?" Only that my father and his father shall finally know vengeance." While he spoke, Rocket hatched a plan, seeing the Hadron Enforcer. "People of Xandar, the time has come to rejoice and renounce your paltry gods." He began to lift his staff, ready to strike if on the ground. "Your salvation is at hand."
As Ronan was about to strike, Quill stood up and sang along to the lyrics of the song. "Listen to these words." He pointed directly at Ronan. The Kree lowered his staff as he looked at Quill like he had lost his mind. "Now bring it down hard!" He got into the music and dances harder. Astra's jaw dropped as she stared at him like a stranger to a man wearing a bikini.
"What are you doing?" Ronan wondered as he stared at Quill.
"Dance off, bro. Me and you." Quill made it sound so normal. He then turned to Gamora with his arm extended to her so she would join him. "Gamora." He called her and she was quick to shake her head no. "Subtle. Take it back." He smoothly accepted the reject and continued dancing.
"What are you doing?" Ronan demanded to know this time.
"I'm distracting you, you big turd blossom." Quill spoke the truth with a smile as beside him Rocket and Drax were ready to shoot with the Hadron Enforcer. The shot went to the staff where the stone was kept, shattering it and leaving a second to take the stone. Both Quill and Ronan reached for it, and that second seemed like it lasted a million as Gamora called out 'no', knowing what would happen.
Quill was the one to grabbed it. A black and purple storm surrounding him like it did on Knowhere. He screamed in agony as his skin began to burn from the stone. "Peter, take my hand!" Gamora called out to him, reaching out for him. Slowly he reached out too, the pain and agony spreading to her as well. Drax on Peter's left and grabbing on to his shoulder. Astra reached to grab Gamora's hand, hoping she may have an affect on the stone's power. The moment her grabbed on her felt the air knock out of her and her surroundings where slow. Feeling life spread into her lungs while the stone tore away at her skin. Rocket was the last, as always, to join. His small hand grabbing ahold of Drax's finger.
The five of them stood together as they shared the power of the stone. "You're mortal!" Ronan looked at them with a baffled look. "How?"
"You said it yourself, bitch." Peter sassed. "We're the Guardians of the Galaxy." The blue Kree grunted in frustration and moved to attack, but Peter opened his hand, the Stone's purple energy took Ronan and cause him to explode. But, while the Stone was freely in the open, there was a tug of some sort from Astra's medallion, barely noticeable, but there. Gamora was quick, taking the containment device and locking the Stone in it.
The black storm dissolved in the span of 2 seconds as the group stood there, gasping to catch their breath. Quite specifically, Astra, as it felt like she needed to sleep for the next 70 years. "Well, well, well. Quite the lights show" Yondu's voice interrupted as he and the Ravagers surrounded them. "Ain't this sweet. But you got some business to attend to before all the nookie-nookie starts." He threatened, getting closer to retrieve the orb.
"Peter, you can't." Astra managed to gasp out.
"You gotta reconsider this, Yondu." Quill advised. "I don't know who you're selling this to, but the only way the universe can survive is if you give it to the Nora Corp."
"I may be as pretty as and angel," Yondu didn't waste a second to reply and moved his coat to reveal his flying arrow. "But I sure as hell ain't one." He extended his arm for the orb. "Hand it over, son."
Peter was hesitant, but took the orb and handed it over. Yondu laughed in success and motioned his men to leave and turn around. "Yondu." Peter called for one last thing. "Do not open that orb. You know that, right? You've seen what it does to people." Yondu had a look in his eye like he knew something Peter didn't before turning right back around to go back to his space pirate life. They watched his ship go and Astra stood up straight, finding the life in her. "He is gonna be so pissed when he realizes I swirled the orb on him."
Astra chuckled lightly as she felt relived. "He was gonna kill you, Peter." Gamora pointed out, still catching her breath as she held her side
"Oh, I know." He replied. "But he was about the only family I had."
"No." Gamora denied, taking the orb from him. "He wasn't." Astra noticed the moment they were having and took a step back, knowing that look. A spark in both their eyes. Rocket finally had a moment to grieve, holding one single twig from Groot. Drax took a seat beside him, not sure what to do until finally deciding to pet him. Astra found a decent place to lay down, laying flat on the ground with one knee up and her right arm covering her eyes.
"Alright, Alphine." She whispered with her eyes closed and envisioning the angelic woman in her head. "That's done, what else is in store for me?"
