4-55: Flat Earth Theory

Evacuation was the priority. So there everyone was desperate to get everyone to safely. Astra was getting everyone in the old hospital evacuated. Those who couldn't walk where put in wheelchairs and everyone was evacuated quickly and, hopefully, properly.

On the outside of the hospital, a large line of people were leaving the hospital. She checked inside to make sure that everyone has been cleared. "The hospital is clear." She informed the team in the coms, her hand to her right left ear. "I'm moving on to the-" Before she could finish someone a block over made a terrifying scream.

Astra looked over as Ultron's bots began to infect the city. In the blink of an eye, Astra's markings appeared and her hair turned white while she ran over to the chaos. She tackled a bot that was moving towards a female teenager. Sticking a sword in its neck and sparks flew from the hole in it.

She turned back to the girl who had a grateful look an she ran in a random direction. People were running in multiple directions she had to point people in the right direction and fight off robots simultaneously.

She threw a knife at a bots head before it could lift an elderly man off the ground. Then she threw four more knives at once, each hitting their mark and the robots fall to the ground. "Fuck it." The girl said, creating to large swords, about the size of her legs, and sliced through the bots. Guess you could say killing, but they weren't alive. So, Astra killed about 20 in that minute.

The ground began to shake as the alien girl ran across the bridge. The floor beneath her began to crack and Astra knew that the bridge was about to break, so she ran as fast as she could to get to the others.

She jumped on a yellow car and hurdled herself over the crack. Barely making it as she hit the stone from the bridge, using only her arms to stay on. She started to slip off and tried to find something to grab onto. Until, Steve, who was at the bridge, reached out and pulled her up. She was barely on the ground completely when Steve hugged her.

"You should have stayed on the ground." He said into her hair.

"And miss the fight?" She laughed and he pulled away to look at her.

"Do you see..." Ultros's sickening voice was heard throughout the city. "The beauty of it? The inevitability. You rise only to fall. You, Avengers, are my meteor. My swift and terrible sword. And the Earth will crack at the weight of your failure. Purge me from your computers, turn my own flesh against me. It means nothing. When the dust settles, the only thing living in this world..." The female could sense a bot creeping up on them, stabbing it without looking in one swift move. "Will be metal."

Astra and Steve shared a look as they walked of the bridge. "'Hey, Ash, what was your life like on Earth?'" The girl started mimicking. "'Oh, you know. Just saving the world from robots that my idiotic brother accidentally created.'" Once she finished she threw two knifes in complete different directions and they both landed in critical parts the bot need. She turned around to look at Steve, who was chuckling at the girl. 

"Look out!" She noticed a robot zooming toward them and knocking the soldier into a car.

"Cap, you got incoming." Tony warned a moment too late.

"Incoming already came in." He groaned as he got off the car. There where more crashes and screaming and Astra and Cap began to move for it. "Stark, you worry about getting the city back down safely. The rest of us have one job, tear these things apart. You get hurt, hurt them back. You get killed, walk it off."

"Sounds logical." Astra said from beside him. There was a scream coming from a car that was beginning to fall of the bridge. "I got your back." She nodded to him while she spun a sword in he right hand. 

Steve ran to the car and tried pulling it back up, only the bumper didn't stick and the rest of the car headed for the ground. While that happened Astra was cutting off arms and throwing knives. "Hey, guys." She spoke in her coms, getting interrupted for a moment while she sliced a head off with her two swords. "Do you think that in an alternate universe," She kicked a bot into a car before slicing her sword threw its chest. "This is all a movie."

"How many conspiracy videos have you watched?" Her brother asked, quite concerned. Shooting at bots from above.

"Uh..." She started to answer as she thought it over. "a lot."

"She believes in the flat Earth theory." Clint voiced.

"Believed." She corrected the archer. "And I was 14." 

At that moment Steve pulled the lady back on the bridge. "You can't save them all." Ultron's voice spoke through a bot as Steve threw his shield at it. "You'll never-" The soldier brought his shield back, the bot falling off the bridge in the process.

"You'll never what?" Steve asked the dying bot. "You didn't finish." He yelled down at it. Thor brought a car back on the bridge with a thud. "What were you napping?"

"We're allowed to nap?!" Astra jokingly yelled over to them, crushing two to the bots heads together and they fell to the floor. Thor and Steve joined her in the fight, where a swarm of bots attacked.

The alien girl used her footing to jump of a car and then flip off a bus. While she spun in the air the female stabbed two bots at once and gracefully rolled back to her feet. Lucky for the three, Thor threw one bot at an oil truck, making it explode and take out a good amount of the pesky things.

"All right, we're all clear here." Clint informed them through the coms.

"We are not clear." Steve denied as he and Astra were fighting the bots vigorously. "We are very not clear." He shoved his shield into a bots chest.

"All right coming to you." Clint replied.
