Thor held up his hand as a signal for everyone to be still. The Vision was suspended in the air, overlooking the city of New York. Everybody that was present waited for him to do something as he not only looked at the city, but the reflection of himself.
While turning around to face the others, his skin turned grey as a way to clothe himself. Thor set his hammer down gently and everyone else carefully took a step closer. "I am sorry. That was... odd." He spoke with Jarvis's voice and turned to Thor to nod his head in gratitude. "Thank you."
"Thor." Steve voiced as the Vision created a cape. No capes! Ran through Astra's mind and she bit her lip to keep from laughing. "You helped create this?" Steve was obviously uneasy.
"I've had a vision." Thor explained himself. "A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life and at its center is that." He pointed at the golden gem on Vision's forehead.
"What? A gem?" Bruce didn't understand the gem's importance.
"It's the Mind Stone." Thor told them. "It's one of the 6 Infinity Stones. The greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities."
"Oh my God." Astra said under her breath. An anxious feeling crashing down on her as she realized something terrible.
"What?" Tony realized his sister's change in mood.
"6 Infinity Stones?" She asked Thor who nodded. "For destruction?" He nodded again and everyone stared at her with confused expressions. There were 6 places for something on the golden gauntlet. The female pieced together. Two of the spaces were already filled by a purple and a blue stone that look just like the stone on that forehead. "Destroy it." She told them.
"Why would you want to destroy it?" Tony furrowed his eyebrow as he asked his sister the question like she was mad. "We just burst our brains trying to get him to come alive."
"Because if we don't destroy it," She started, fear was very clear in her eyes. "Terrible things are going to happen."
"What kind of terrible things." Steve questioned. The alien girl turned her head to look at him, he could see the terror they held.
"I'm not sure." She said truthfully as she look at the ground in shame.
"We won't destroy it." Thor finalized on his own. "The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron."
"Not alone." Vision added.
"Why does your Vision sound like Jarvis?" Steve asked.
"We reconfigured Jarvis's Matrix..." Tony answered while taking a few steps towards Vision. "To create something new."
"I think I've had my fill of new." Steve commented, steeling a quick glance at Astra, who was very shaken up. Something you don't see often in her. Astra was gentle, but also strong. Soft, but firm. Funny, but serious. Perfect in Steve's eyes. But, seeing her weak didn't happen often.
"You think I'm a child of Ultron?" Vision questioned for the group.
"You're not?" Steve asked him.
"I'm not Ultron." Vision clarified. "I'm not Jarvis. I'm..." He tried to figure out what he was. "I am."
"I looked in your head." Wanda spoke up. "And saw annihilation."
"Look again." Vision told her so that everyone would know that he does not pose as a threat to the world.
"Her seal of approval mean jack to me." Clint took a few step closer.
"Their powers, the horrors in our heads, Ultron himself, they all cam from the Mind Stone." Thor warned them. "And they're nothing compared to what it can unleash. But with it on our side."
"Is it?" Steve questioned then turned to Vision himself. "Are you? On our side?"
"I don't think it's that simple." The man born that day started to answer.
"Well, it better get real simple real soon." Astra threatened, she needed something to assure her that he isn't a threat.
"I am on the side of life." He said philosophically. "Ultron isn't. He will end it all."
"What's he waiting for?" The older stark wondered.
"You." He answered.
"Where?" Bruce followed up the question.
"Sokovia." Clint meet the question instead of Vision. "He's got Nat there, too." Relief flushed over Astra as she realized that her friend is alive.
Bruce took a couple steps forward and began his attempt to intimidate Vision. Which didn't work too well, because of the high difference. "If we're wrong about you, if you're the monster that Ultron made you to be..."
"What will you do?" He looked around the room for an answer as to how they would kill him.
"I will personally put an end to it." Astra answered, glaring at the red man. "That thing gets in the wrong hands It will be hell."
"I don't want to kill Ultron. He's unique." Vision spoke, making Astra worrisome on his priorities. "And he's in pain. But that pain will roll over Earth. Therefore he must be destroyed. Every form he's built, every trace of his presence on the net. We have to act now. And not one of us can do it without the other."
"Maybe I am a monster." He continued as he looked down at himself. "I don't think I'd know if I were one. I'm not what you are, and not what you intended. So there may be no way to make you trust me. But we need to go."
Vision held out Thor's hammer in from of the owner to take. Everyone stared at it before Thor took it, speechless. "Right." Thor finally broke the silence. He walked away to prepare for the battle. "Well done." He pat Tony on the back.
"Three minutes." Captain ordered. "Get what you need." The team scattered to prepare themselves. Astra went to change into her black catsuit that had a holes cut out on her shoulder and white markings. She then slipped on her boots and fingerless gloves. Leaving her hair down. That'll do.
While walking to the jet the brunette passed the two scientist and soldier. Her and Steve made eye contact for a minute. She gave him a short smile before he could no longer see her face. "Dude." Tony exclaimed, gaining the soldiers attention. "Stop checking out my sister."
"I wasn't..." He got flustered.
Bruce nodded. "You aren't too discreet about it." This meaning that in the past year, everybody had noticed that the soldier has feeling for the female Stark.
"Come on." Steve tried to deny as a blush creeped up his cheeks. "I don't-" Tony and Bruce gave him a look that said ' you do' and Steve shut up.
