As Steve made his way down the stairs he caught Bruce and Natasha having a low-key relationship talk. The blonde leaned on the counter as Natasha left with her drink. "It's nice." He caught Banner's attention.
"What is?" Bruce acted as if he wasn't sure what the soldier was taking about.
"You and Romanoff." Steve smirked.
"No, we haven't..." Bruce flustered. "That wasn't..."
"It's okay. Nobody's breaking bylaws here." Steve affirmed, thinking about how he planned on talking to the female Stark. "It's just, she's not the most open person in the world. But with you she seems very relaxed."
"No. Natasha, she's just..." Bruce denied. "She likes to flirt."
"I've seen her flirt." Steve stated as he grabbed two beers. "This ain't that." Steve walked to the direction he was first to, then stopped to add one more thing. "Look, as maybe the world's leading authority on waiting too long, don't. You both deserve a win."
The soldier then walked off to the balcony to where the female in the leather jacket stared at the sky. The loose strands from her updo moving gently from the breeze. Her arms leaning on the railing, not yet noticing the man out of time approaching her.
"Here." Steve voiced, holding out the beer. Catching Astra's attention as she moves her head to face him. "You look thirsty."
"Just finished my margarita, Cap." She smirked. "You trying to get me drunk?" The girl took the drink from his hands.
"The margarita was your only drink tonight." Steve pointed out.
"So, now you're spying on me?" Astra tilted her head and laughed, Steve admiring her smile.
"No, I..." He got flustered. "It just..." Oh how the tables have turned, considering the conversation Steve just had with the scientist.
"Calm down, Spangles." She sipped her drink. "You're not in trouble." She then looked back up at the sky, Steve leaned the rail next to her. "There are never any stars out here." She said sadly, yet the soldier couldn't help but notice the way her eyes still sparkled.
"Yeah." He responded, knowing how much she loved space. Whether it was because she was from space or because of other reasons. One would always catch her making little remarks about it or she would be looking up, pointing out constellations.
"Look, Steve." The girl started. "About the this morning." Steve looked to his right down at the brunette. "You're right there is something wrong, just..." She shook her head. "It's hard to explain."
Steve moved to lean on the railing on his left side. Astra moved so that she leaned on the railing on her right side. So the two's bodies now face each other, only Astra's face is looking down at the city below. "I didn't mean what I said, any of it. I think..." The female thought of the right words to fit what she's trying to get across.
Then looking at her admirer. "I'm not too good at showing my emotions." She shrugged and looked back at the city to avoid eye contact. "I found out that I'm alien, and I ran away. Came back fought off aliens and the only family I have almost died. Then the one guy that made me feel like life was simple and carefree turned out to be a psychopath that wanted to kill me. And yet again, I ran away."
