Thanos could see it all. His daughter, young and happy. The girl that was there, but at the same time wasn't, was 8 years old. Her long, white hair was put up in a neat bun while she ran around, playing with one of the dogs with a blinding and innocent smile. The Titan looked at what could have been, regret in his eyes as he watched the false girl. Longing for this to have been real.
When she was born, he didn't have the strength to keep her, or to kill her. But, the moment he sent her off in that capsule, he regretted it. His other children where, you could say, replacements. And Gamora, well, she was everything Thanos imagined Astra to be. Just like her mother. Stubborn, intelligent, skillful, willing to stand up for what they believe in.
Viela, Astra's mother, was the leading warrior, even looked highly upon by the elders. But, she grew worried of her peoples carelessness on the use of their resource. Believing that in a matter of years, they would starve. With their long life expectance and people always falling in and out of love.
Viela saw a terrible future ahead. Envisioning the desolated planet. And she died believing that that future would have come if they cosmicites continued the way they were.
Thanos recalled the day he met her. The day started bright and beautiful, which is when the white-haired warrior was escorting the Titan to his ship. "It is a pity they do not see things the way we do." The warrior's strong yet soft voice spoke up first, facing forward while she led him through the maze of a garden. "Everyday another person starves while others pay no mind to it."
Thanos looked down at her, immediately being captivated by her grey eyes. "You agree with my cause?" He asked in more of a statement than a question.
The celestialite didn't speak for a moment, turning to look at the thriving city below. "My people sit here and live out lives, preparing to save others but we keep away from growing problems. Our own included." She clenched her jaw in frustration and took a couple deep breaths. "If you continue with your journey my people will fight and continue on with their destructive ways."
Thanos took a slow step towards her, the sky above them getting darker as a storm began to approach the capital city. "Then they will fight, but not continue." He said dimly and the warrior looked up with an expression that was hard to read.
He remembered how she would talk about about having a daughter. Getting her dressed in the finest clothing with the most amazing hair and markings. She could talk without end about her own future, but her future ended the day another began.
The Titan's heart was heavy as his thoughts went back to Astra. His own daughter had gone against the beliefs that her mother held, and though he was known as ruthless, the thought of hurting her sent shivers down his spine. The Titan really doesn't know what he would do upon seeing her. Already picturing a sort of heartbreak the two would carry. Only Astra may not even see his as a father, just as an enemy and that terrified him.
He continued to watch the false girl play with the false dog. Forgetting for a moment that it's not real.

Just a little Thanos chapter for you. Kind of explaining the father daughter relationship. Oof, watching that Captain America entrance in Infinity War makes my forget how to breathe.
Anyways, I should go doing homework, or sleeping, or working out, or doing something productive, but fan-fiction is so much better and I love my 4 readers. So shoutout to you guys. XOXO
