The duo stood in front of a house waiting for it to be opened. They were covered in dust and dirt and were in desperate need of a shower and rest. Steve's friend, Sam, was the one who opened it. "Hey, man." He greeted, wondering why Captain America and Astroid showed up on his door step.

"I'm sorry about this. We need a place to lay low." Steve said simply.

"Everyone is trying to kill us." Astra added.

Sam hesitated for a moment, looking between the two. "Not everyone." He let them in the house and skimmed the area before entering himself.

Astra showered first, getting all the dirt off. Even before this whole thing I didn't have a lot of time for hygiene, unless she stopped at a motel or something. But, it felt good to be clean.

"You okay?" Steve asked her as he stepped out the bathroom.

"Yeah." She nodded while drying her hair.

He walked over, knowing that she was lying, and sats across from her. "What's going on?"

She just stared at him for a moment. "From the start, S.H.I.E.L.D. was a huge part of my life. Thought I mattered, that it was the place I belonged. I could use my powers there. And then the secrets were revealed to me. I left. Lost a grip of my life. Did things that weren't exactly... legal or good. I guess there was a part of me that hoped S.H.I.E.L.D would take me back. So that I could go back to doing good. But, looks like I wan't doing good to start with." She laughed at herself lightly and faced the floor. "I'm starting to wonder who I can trust, again."

It got quiet for a moment before the brunette started talking again. "You saved my life, Steve." She stared right into his blue eyes. "I owe you."

He shook his head slightly. "It's okay."

"If it was the other way around, and it was down to me to save you're life, now you be honest with me, would you trust me to do it?" She studied his face to tell the difference if he lied.

"Astra, we had each others back in the battle of New York-"

"I've changed, Steve." She interrupted.

"Not as much as you think. You said earlier that I want to trust you." He brought up. "I do now." She smiled slightly. "And I'm always honest." He smiled.

"Well, you seem pretty chipper for someone who just found out they died for nothing." She smirked, lightening the mood.

"Well, guess I just like to know who I'm fighting." He smiled. "And who I'm fighting for."

His blue eyes gazed into Astra's grey ones, and she gazed back at him. She opened her mouth slightly to respond, but Sam interrupted before she could start. "I made breakfast." He leaned on the wall. "If you guys eat that sort of thing." Astra and Steve glanced at each other once more before they stood up and followed Sam into the kitchen.

The brunette grabbed a piece of toast and leaned on the counter. "So, the question is, who at S.H.I.E.L.D could launch a domestic missile strike." She questioned, taking a bite of the toast.
