The sound of a motor is heard as a banged up motorcycle approached the group and on it was Banner.

"So, this all seems horrible." He looked around.

"I've seen worse." Natasha spoke.

"Sorry." He apologized.

"No. We could use a little worse."

"Stark, we got him." Cap said in the coms.

"Banner?" He needed confirmation.

"Just like you said."

"Then tell him to suit up. I'm bringing the party to you." He turned the corner with the large snake trailing behind him.

"I- I don't see how that's a party." Nat admits.

"Thor what are these things called?" Astra wondered.

"The Leviathan."

"Nice name." She said sarcastically.

The Leviathan barreled down toward the group as Banner slowly walked to it.

"Dr. Banner," Cap called. "now might be a really good time to get angry."

"That's my secret, Cap." Bruce responded. "I'm always angry." His skin turned green and he grows bigger. Smashing the Leviathan and it flipped over.

"Hold on." Tony called as he shot a rocket to its soft spot and it blew into smaller pieces. The Chitauri's screams are heard throughout the city as the earths mightiest heroes stand in a circle, preparing ourselves mentally and physically for the battle.

Astra looked up as more Chitauri and Leviathans flew out the portal. "Guys." Nat acknowledged it.

"Call it, Cap." Astra said.

"Alright listen up." He commanded. "Until we can close that portal up there, we're gonna use containment. Barton, I want you one that roof, eyes on everything. Call out partners and strays. Stark you got perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back or you turn it to ash."

"Wanna give me a lift?" Clint asked the older Stark.

"Right. Better clench up, Legolas." Tony got a tight grip on Clints arm as he lifted him off the ground and onto the roof of a building.

"Thor, you gotta try and bottleneck that portal. Slow them down. You've got the lightning. Light those bastards up." Cap ordered and Thor flew up to higher ground.

Turning to Natasha and Astra he continued to give orders. "We stay on the ground, keep the fighting here. And Hulk," The Hulk looked at the Captain. "Smash." The hulk grinned in approval and jumped to the buildings.

Astra took in a deep breath as the chitauri ran toward the three on the ground. She created two large swords and twirled them a few time before slicing a chirauri in half. When another two charged at her, Astra cut both their heads of in one swift move and threw one sword at a chitauri.

"Captain," Natasha voiced after a while, as she slumped back tiredly. "none of this is gonna mean a damn thing if we don't close that portal."

"Our biggest guns couldn't touch it." He responded.

"Maybe it's not about the guns." She gestured to the flying chariots.

"You wanna get up there, you're gonna need a ride." He told her.

"I got a ride. I could use a lift thought." She responded as she backed up to get more room for a running start.

Cap angled his shield before asking for confirmation. "Are you sure about this?"

"Yeah." She responded. "It'll be fun." She used her feet to run up a car and jumping onto Cap's shield so he could boost her up.

"Does look like fun." Astra commented and cut of another chitauri head.

More chitauri ran after the two as they prepared for it. Astra stuck her sword into one and slit the  throat of another before throwing a knife into the head of one the Steve was struggling with. It's body fell on the floor with a thud and he looked at her.

"Thanks." He nodded in her direction.

"Thank me later with a kiss." She joked. "On the cheek." He just chuckled lightly from beside her. "Beside there's more."

The chitauri charged at them as they fought them off. Tony joined for a short period of time and flew back into the sky. Astra jumped off the bridge and fought some down there.

She ducked behind a car to avoid getting shot at. Then threw a knife and rolled under the car. She breathed deeply to catch her breath and to remind herself that she isn't in a dream. That she really is battling aliens, that there is a power-hungry god leading them, that she is on a team of extraordinary people.

"Captain, Astra, bank on 42nd past Madison, they caught a lot of civilians there." Clint reported.

"We're on it." Cap responded.

Astra took in a deep breath before she rolled out from under the car. Slitting the throat of an unaware chitauri and ran to the bank. Cap was already there and one of the creatures noticed her enter. She flipped it over and stabbed it's chest, then flipped another over the balcony. It died the moment it's neck snapped on the floor.

"Everyone clear out!" Cap called to the hostages as a Chitauri grabbed hold of him and peeled off his mask. Astra ran over to it an stabbed its neck to the side. Another Chitauri grabbed the bomb and threw it at the two, sending them back. Cap landed on a car and Astra further back on the road. She rolled weakly onto the side. Cap held out his hand for her to take. She grabbed it and he hoisted her up on her feet. "You alright."

"Not until these things stop coming." She replied. "They just keep coming like a swarm of bees... only... deadlier."

"Just gotta keep up." He said.

"Yeah. Well, not everyone is a super soldier." She sassed, the chitauri screeched as they ran towards the duo. Astroid took in a deep breath as she let her head dangle for a moment before picking it back up. "You know, the marks on my face, after a while they start to burn." She created two swords and begin to stab, slice and kill any of the creatures.
