Astra went over the plan in her head a few times, disguised as one of the Council members. "How was your flight?" Pierce asked her while they walked with other Council members and agents trailing behind.
"Lovely." She replied, faking an English accent. "The ride from the airport, less so."
"Sadly S.H.I.E.L.D can't control everything." He responded her. "Including Captain America. This facility is biometrical controlled. And these will give you unregistered access." She took what he handed her and pinned it to her professional blue jacket.
The members followed Pierce into a room and watched the large screen. "I know the road hasn't exactly been smooth, some of you would have gladly kicked me out of the car along the way." He spoke as they all held our champaign glasses. "Finally, we're here. And the world should be grateful."
They all lifted our glasses right as the intercom came on. "Attention all agents, this is Steve Rogers." She worked hard not to smirk. "You've heard a lot about me over the last few days. Some of you were even ordered to hunt me down. But I think it's time you know the truth. S.H.I.E.L.D is not what we thought it was. It's been taken over by HYDRA. Alexander Pierce is their leader. The S.T.R.I.K.E and the Insight crew are HYDRA as well. I don't know how many more, but I know they're in the building. They could be standing right next to you. They almost have what they want. Absolute control."
Pierce looked uneasy as Cap continued to speak. "They shot Nick Fury. And it won't end there. If you launch those helicarriers today, HYDRA will be able to kill anyone that stands in their way. Unless we stop them. I know I'm asking a lot. But the price for freedom is high. I always has been. And it's a price I'm waling to pay. And if I'm the only one, then so be it. But I'm willing to bet I'm not."
"You smug son of a bitch." A councilman spoke first as S.T.R.I.K.E team members walked in.
"Arrest him." Another councilman motioned to Pierce. Instead a team member points a gun at him.
"I guess I've got the floor." Pierce spoke calmly.
He looked out the window at the departing helicarriers. "Let me ask you a question." He started as he strolled over to them. "What is Pakistan marched into Mumbai tomorrow and you knew that they were going to drag your daughters into a soccer stadium for an execution, and you could just stop it with a flick of a switch. Would you? Wouldn't you all?"
"Not if it was your switch." A councilman answered coldly and threw the champaign to the ground.
Pierce was handed a gun and Astra moved into action. Kicking an agent and disarming Pierce. She then threw then gun to ones neck and knee another agent. Banging heads on desks and breaking a few arm. She picked up the gun and pointed it at Pierce.
She clicked her mask to deactivate it. "I'm sorry," She faked an apology in a robotic voice and removed the mask and wig. "did I step on your moment?"
The brunette then handed a councilman a gun to point at Pierce as she type into the computer. "What are you doing?" A councilmen asked her.
