Charlotte's POV•
December 23, 2016
"J, look!" I squealed pointing across the airport. I saw my mother walking towards us with her bags and suitcases covering every inch of her arms.
Jonah turned his head and his eyes lit up. We then looked at each other for a split second before taking off in the direction of our mom.
"MOMMY!!!" The both of us screeched while hugging her. She giggled and hugged us back.
"I know I know, everyone misses me." My mom teased flipping her hair over her shoulder once we pulled back.
See where I get my cockiness from?
We playfully rolled our eyes. I saw someone approaching our direction and it was my dad coming to us. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes.
Now he wants to actually be here for something.
He stopped next to mother and she stiffened while a grim look took over her face. "Hello, children." My dad regarded us. "Dad." Jonah and I spoke monotonously. "Aren't you gonna give your old man a proper greeting?" He asked his eyebrows raised.
Awkward.....
Jonah and I shifted uncomfortably before slowly walking over to him and giving him a side hug.
"How are you all?" He asked. "Great." Jonah and I spoke up. "Until you got here." We mumbled.
All of a sudden my mom gasped and pulled my hand to her eyes. She examined the ring on my hand then squealed.
"It's so beautiful in person!!!" She fantasized looking at it.
I blushed.
"It took everything in me not to pick up the phone and spill the beans." She wiped imaginary sweat from her head letting go of my hand.
I furrowed an eyebrow.
"You knew?" I asked her. "Yes, Zach asked us about a week before for your father and I's blessing. We told him yes and he told us what he was planning. Speaking of Zach, where is the handsome devil?" Mom asked smirking beginning to look around the airport.
"Mom he's taken." I teased flashing my ring at her. "Yeah Yeah, just because there's a goalie doesn't mean you can't score." She winked as we approached Zach. I gasped and playfully smacked her arm "Mom!".
"Kidding I'm kidding." She waved me off as we continued to him."Mhm." I mumbled as we stopped in front of Zach.
"Hey, baby." Zach kissed my lips as I stood on my tippy toes to kiss him. "Hi, so Zach this is my mom, mom this is Zach. Zach this is my dad and dad this is Zach my boyfriend." I added.
"Hello Mr and Mrs.Marais, I have been dying to meet you both." Zach grinned looking at the both of them. My mom held a happy expression while my dad had a dull expression on his face. "As to you dear." My mom pulled him into a hug. In the midst she winked at me having me chuckle at her silliness.
"Char tells me a-lot about you." Zach added. "I know darling, I'm the talk of everyone's conversation." She flipped her hair over her shoulder for the second time since she got here.
Zach chuckled as I rolled my eyes. "This is where my cockiness comes from." I told him while pointing at her. "I am not cocky!" Mom defended herself. Everyone including Zach gave her a look, "Okay maybe a-little bit." She squished her fingers together. "Sure let's go with that." Jonah laughed.
I saw Zach look out of the corner of his eye then nod his head. "Could you all excuse us for a second?" Zach asked everyone then stood behind me holding my shoulders in his hands.
