IT HAS BEEN A WHILE LET ME TELL YOU, I'VE BEEN BUSY GETTING READY FOR SCHOOL SINCE IT STARTS THIS WEDNESDAY

as you can tell by the title of this entry i am going to be explaining where the idea for runner came and the meaning behind it

so the main inspiration of this book was the why don't we in general

i saw them on logan pauls vlogs and had become obsessed ever since

so i started learning things about them and i decided i was in zachs lane and that i wanted to write a book about him

so i had one plot line and it was going to be about a girl taking her little sister to the wdw concert and the but the big sister doesn't really care for them until she actually goes to a concert and the boys saranade the younger sister on stage, then the big sis and zach end up together

runner could've ended up being called only the beginning lol

but i didn't like it so it went in the trash

then eventually i heard the song runner by as you know why don't we

and i was like "aye this song is a bop. lemme learn the lyrics." so i did and i began to think of how great of a plot line that would be

basically the whole message of the song runner is that the boys just want (whoever they are trying to holler at) to open up to them so they can understand where the person is coming from. the boys want to prove they are not the same person as the ex/old flame . 

in my book runner the main character, Charlotte Marais, has been hurt by someone she loved only to have him to rip her heart out and crush it in her face. she is hesitant to trust people in the beginning because she is afraid that once she trusts someone, she gives them the opportunity to harm her when not everyone has bad intentions. 

zach had deep feelings for charlotte but she didn't want to admit to herself that the walls built around her heart collapsed under zach's gaze. she didn't want to admit that someone managed to yet again put her in a vulnerable state. the thought of someone using her like the guy whom she thought she loved scared her and she did everything in her power to protect herself from getting hurt like that again, knowing the effect it had on her.

zach wanted charlotte to believe that he was not tyler and that he was never going to be tyler. he wanted her to know that he wasn't the enemy in their relationship.

i named the book runner because the song lyrics describe zach and char's relationship perfectly. 

*switches to caps to rant*

Y'ALL DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND HOW MANY TIMES I CHANGED THE PLOT LINE LIKE ON SOME REAL SHIZ THIS BOOK HAS BEEN THROUGH IT ALL

*switches off *

so when i finally published the book it didn't take long for this book to start climbing up the charts 

like one day it was at 0 votes, views and comments then the next it was like 1,000.

the amount of love and support that you guys have shown me on this journey is not unbelievable because i know the capability of my supporters

as cheesy as it sounds i don't think of you guys as my "fans" i think of you as my friends because friends support each others dreams 

the family and community that we have created with this book is astonishing

even though this book is coming to an end i want you all to know that i truly do love you guys from the bottom of my heart and thank you for being the wonderful people that you are 

i just got an idea

what if we created a group chat on discord or something??
