NO ONE'S POV
"C'mere girl!" Jonah said patting the floor on his hands and knees as Toffee happily skipped to him. Jonah dangled the ball in the air in front of Toffee in a teasing manner and she jumped up on her hind legs to reach it but then Jonah threw it towards Corbyn who then held it and shook it. She took off running and took the ball from Corbyn and he picked her up in his arms.
The loud ring of a phone blared throughout the house which the boys recognized as the home phone. The boys furrowed their eyebrows. They never get calls from the house phone unless something's wrong to the point where someones out and they can't use their phones to call them themselves.
Jonah rose from the floor and headed into the direction of the kitchen. Jonah picked the phone up from the telephone holder not knowing what to expect and at the same time an Urgent News report flashed across the bottom of the TV screen titled 'Devastating Car Accident In Los Angeles California'. The boys remaining in the living room changed the channel to the Los Angeles News.
"Hello?" Jonah spoke into the phone holding it up to his ear. "Yes, Is this Jonah Marais?" a deep man's voice came over the phone. "Yes, Who's asking?" Jonah asked confused. He had never heard this voice before and calling them at this time of night was very suspicious.
A woman in a grey pantsuit with a microphone held to her lips appeared onto the screen. "Hello, My name is Shana Reynolds here with your news" she said as he boys began to crowd around the TV. She was standing in front of yellow cation tape. There were police cars surrounding the scene with their red and blue lights flashing left and right.
Within the caution tape there were two busted up cars all around from the front to the back.
"I am Dr.Karmen from the UCLA Medical Center" Dr.Karmen started off slowly as he tended to do when breaking this type of news to people. "Okay, what is your reason for calling me?" Jonah asked gradually becoming nervous.
"This just in a tragic accident has just happened on Highway 88 "Shana Reynolds ,the newscaster, started. "It consisted of a red 2016 Ford F-150 and a white 2016 Jeep Wrangler" she added looking into the camera with a hard stare.
"Apparently the Ford was being driven by a drunk 17 year old named Jacob Whitley, He pulled into what was the Jeep's right lane but was his left lane and he drove into the drivers side of the Jeep." She said.
"Jonah for your sisters and your best friend Zach's emergency contact it has you listed down for the first one to notify if anything happened to them . This number was listed so that's why I am calling" Dr.Karmen said. Jonah felt his breath get caught in his throat as he struggled to get out the next words. "W-What hap-happened t-to th-them?" Jonah stuttered through his sentence.
"Jonah , they got into a bad car accident" Dr.Karmen informed the boy on the other side of the phone who felt air being pulled from his lungs. "W-What?" Jonah asked trying not to break down over the phone. "A car rammed into the side of the car and pushed the car into another car" Dr.Karmen spoke but Jonah was now sent into a state of shock and stopped listening within the first three words that came out of his mouth.
"The Ford's impact on the Jeep was so hard that the Jeep knocked into another car causing more damage" Shana spoke. "The two victim's presented in the Jeep were our beloved internet stars Charlotte Marais and Zach Herron" Shana informed the viewers at home and listeners through the radio. The boys jaw's dropped not believing what they were hearing.
