Puck didn't even look at Quinn. He had sunglasses on, and Quinn couldn't tell if his eyes were open.

"You're on my blanket." Quinn repeated.

"You said that." Puck muttered.

Quinn slowly sat down on the blanket next to Puck, leaving space in between. She stretched her legs out and faced the water.

"Thank you for your service." Quinn said softly.

"You said that already, too." Puck responded.

Quinn frowned. "I'm glad you're home safe."

"Right." Puck nodded slowly.

"Puck, I-"

"It's been four years." Puck cut Quinn off as he took off his sunglasses. "We don't have to talk about it."

"But shouldn't we talk about it?" Quinn asked as she looked at Puck.

Puck shrugged. "I don't have anything to say."

"Well, I do." Quinn responded. "I'm sorry. For everything."

"Quinn." Puck said softly.

"I was devastated and angry and heartbroken when Finn died." Quinn began. "And then you said you were leaving and I couldn't take it."

Puck looked at her.

"I couldn't lose you, too." Quinn said as tears filled her eyes.

"I promised I'd come back." Puck pointed out. "And I did."

"Things aren't the same now. It's not like it was." Quinn responded.

"Do you remember what I said to you before I left?" Puck asked.

Quinn shook her head. "I only remember what I screamed at you."

"You told me I was crazy for going, and you never wanted me to come back." Puck reminded Quinn. "You hated me."

"I didn't hate you. I loved you." Quinn corrected Puck.

"And I told you to wait for me." Puck concluded.

Quinn frowned. "And I laughed in your face."

Puck nodded.

"I'm sorry." Quinn whispered as she bit her lip.

"It's okay." Puck replied as he slowly stood up.

"Where are you going?" Quinn wondered as she wiped her eyes and stood up.

"I'm gonna go clear my head." Puck told Quinn.

Quinn sighed as she watched him run off towards the water.
