Quick Authors Note:

Hey guys! Just wanted or let you know I have a crazy month ahead of me. We have friends staying with us the next week, and a few days after that we have family coming to stay with us for a month. so, in other words, I may not be able to update this much, and my updates may be shorter than usual.. I'll try my best, because it's also a huge stress relief for me to write, however I doubt I'll be able to update nearly as often as I usually do. Maybe once or twice every few days rather than once or twice a day, haha. I'm also having a tiny bit of a writers block at the moment, but that's alright! I'll get over it soon enough. Anyways, that's it, just wanted to let everyone know in case you don't see any updates very often. Thanks, love you all!! 💜

Williams POV:

William stood just outside Jim's building, smiling quietly to himself as he received text after text. Hah... he forgot how nice it was to be in a relationship. Only once had he been in one before— although he wasn't sure that had counted either. It was strictly business- jim made William do it to earn her trust and get information on something at the time. William of course has had his fair share of one night stands as well- again, strictly for business reasons. .... besides the times he drank too much and wasn't in his right mind. ... either way, he wouldn't necessarily call any of them a 'relationship'.

Funny, though. After all this time, everything William has been through with jim, including Jim becoming more humane with you around.... William still was afraid of him. Not necessarily terrified.. just scared enough to keep his wits and do as asked without question. .... it was strange for him now, going behind Jim's back in a relationship. He did NOT want another 'Alex dying' incident... then again, William wasn't sure jim could kill Alex anymore- Alex might get to him first.

......... Jesus that killed the mood real fast.

William's eyes went cold again as he put his phone away. What was he thinking... he couldn't afford to screw up. He may not have anything left to lose, but.... he wasn't going to put jim to the test like that again. William could even see jim killing you just to make a point—— ..... well... the old jim, anyways. William wasn't sure where jim was at now, but... he didn't know if he could shoot you anymore. ... either way, he did NOT want to test that out.

... damnit. He had to stop this 'relationship' before it went any further.

Jim's POV:

Jim was still with you in his office, although he had pulled out his phone to text William.

'Willy boy I need a favour~'

Jim could feel your eyes on him as he typed, although he knew you couldn't see what he was saying.

"... jim, what are you doing—?"

"Just taking care of a few business faults." Jim responded with ease, glancing up momentarily to see your eyebrows drawn together with concern. He sighed, rolling his eyes slightly before straightening up, slipping his phone in his pocket.

".... Harvey convinced some of my workers to double cross me~ I have to make sure that doesn't happen again. ... and by me, i mean Willy boy." Jim said calmly, noting you cross your arms in firm disapproval. Jim shrugged it off, smiling coolly.

"It's strictly business, my dear~ make a few threats, get someone else to do the dirty work, step in last second to make your point...simple business." Jim hummed, walking out of the room. He could feel your eyes on him- he knew how much you disapproved of how violent and corrupt he could be, but... jim didn't care. Because he knew, deep down you could be the same~. And he knew you knew that as well.
