Jim's POV:

She was alive. William's mom. She bloody had to be. Alright. New plan he knew there was probably a reason that she had not showed herself yet; if Harvey knew that she was alive things would get a LOT more complicated. The only shot they had was to confront Harvey- they had to stop him before he could get the word out... although by the look of it, word was already far from out.

Harvey had advertising everywhere. Scrolling through his phone for ten minutes, jim already found thousands of advertisements on Harvey's 'magic healing solution'. Seemed like Harvey was a bit ahead after all- luckily there was no sign of Candace anywhere, she seemed to be backing off besides leaving William a threat message every once and a while. Either way, they needed to stop this before it got even more out of hand. Then again.... thinking about the last note he had received before the one that was slipped under the door,,, Williams mom seemed to know that Harvey would end up selling Alex's blood, and that couldn't be stopped...

'You need to stop Harvey from getting his fame,

When he sells Alex's blood, just use his name.'

Alex's blood was likely nearly depleted at this point, but just enough in him to keep the kid alive. If they could cut off Harvey's supply source- aka get Alex back, they could stop him in the long run... in the short run... who knows. Jim couldn't quite connect the dots on that last line of the note.

William came into the room with Marcus and a very tired looking y/n at his side, William catching them up on all that had happened that morning.

"Morning Willy boy, Marcus, y/n~" Jim greeted, leaning back in his chair. Marcus grinned at the opportunity handed directly to him to call Jim by some absurd nickname.

"Good morning, mini jimmy!!! Sleep well?" Marcus asked happily. Jim nodded and raised an eyebrow- despite his perky attitude, jim could tell that Marcus absolutely did not. Although, he didn't seem to sleep much in general. Jim felt him there.

"I did~ and don't call me that."

"Gotcha, jamesaroo-" Marcus shot back happily, jim shot him a warning look which he noticed you combat with one of your own. Sort of a 'he's just a kid, don't you dare murder him' expression. Jim sighed, placing his hands behind his head as he leant back further in his seat.

".... anyways. I see you're both caught up on the situation." Jim stated calmly, watching as you rubbed your eyes and slowly nodded.

"Yeah.. I can't believe Harvey's good side is even still there. It's hard to even think there used to be a part of him that was good..." you said, going over to jim and sitting on his lap. Jim... smiled to himself in response. .... before composing himself once more and continuing the subject, ignoring Williams obviously extreme uncomfortableness with the physical affection- especially when it comes to jim. Which, jim completely understood~ William was trained to believe jim was an emotionless bastard that manipulated everyone and felt nothing. Which, to an extent was true. .... used to be more so. Half the time jim couldn't believe he was like this with anyone ether- a year ago, he would have had anyone shot that took a step too close to him outside of work reasons.

"Regardless, his bad side is too powerful to save him now. I have a feeling Candy is a good inn to get info on Harvey... so, William...." Jim stated, looking at William, then at you. You still seemed to be vaguely cross with him for his outburst the other day, but were trying very hard to forgive him. ... regardless on how heartless he was being by asking William to manipulate his crazy ex into giving him information on Harvey. Really, the only thing they needed to know now was how to take Harvey down for good. They had to know how strong his good side really was- maybe by appealing to his inner 'good', they could convince him to just... die. And stay dead.

Really, it wasn't that far fetched. With all the horrible things Harvey had done, and how genuinely upset his good side he seemed to be about it.. accepting death is not too much to ask. But they couldn't risk Harvey coming out alive again- they couldn't.

William looked down at mention of candy, but you quickly nodded and responded for him.

"He'll do it... whatever it takes to get Alex back." You said, causing jim to raise an eyebrow. Wow, you really had changed~ you were willing to possibly risk William's life to save Alex's. Bravo, y/n~ bravo.

Jim noted that Marcus had gone quiet again from the corner of the room- he was sitting on the floor, knees drawn to his chest, hands fiddling with his unoccupied phone. It seemed to be a nervous fidget- jim didn't blame him.

You stood from Jim's lap, going over to William.

"So Williams going to find candy and try to find out Harvey's weaknesses- you're likely going to stay here and figure out how well known Harvey already is, so what should I do?" You asked Jim, evidently not wanting to be on babysitting duty for Marcus. Not that the kid needed it, he seemed pretty content just chilling out.

"... go with him- be his backup. Stay out of sight, but make sure nothing bad happens. If something does, let me know." Jim said. You nodded, taking Williams hand and leading him out of the room. Jim sighed, sensing your evident desperation to get this over with and save Alex... he felt it too. But patience is key... being thorough is more important than anything right now.

William's POV:

"Something's up, y/n. What are you doing.." William asked, drawing his eyebrows together. You grinned up at him deviously in response.

"You said you wanted to help me take Harvey down and save Alex~ now let's go do it."

"What-? Now—? No, y/n that's not what i said- and we can't-! Do you have any idea how dangerous that could be?" William replied, stopping in his tracks, forcing you to stop with him.

"Give me your phone."

"What??"

"Phone. Now." You said again, so William sighed and did as told although confused as to why. You smiled, stuffing it in your pocket as William continued to stare at you confused.

"Wh-"

"I knew if we went to stop Harvey now, you'd end up telling on me to jim. Now let's go."

Despite William's protests and attempts to stop you, you wouldn't be stopped. William or no William, you were going to face Harvey and try to take him down. And get yourself killed in the process. And now, William had no form of getting backup to your carelessness....

The most he could do was go with you and hope to god one of you lived through it to break the news to jim.

Authors note:

Yes. The mc is apparently being very careless right now. But you know. Don't make the reader mad, jim. Especially not when she was already pissed about losing Alex, and Ty's 'death' and the fact that Harvey is a terrible being. And also. We all make mistakes or whatever. :^))) lets just see how this one turns out, shall we.
