Jim's POV:
Jim woke up in the morning, with you still asleep beside him, in his arms. As soon as he opened his eyes, he heard his phone alert with a text beside him. Drawing his eyebrows together at the unlikely coincidence, jim rolled over and grabbed it, opening the text. His face went pale and he sat up quickly, but he stayed silent as not to wake you.
He quickly got dressed and left the room, regaining his calm composure as he made his way down the hall. Became across Marcus, who was standing alone, waiting for him with his arms crossed.
"What the hell is this?" Jim asked, raising an eyebrow simply as he showed Marcus the text he received this morning from him. Marcus didn't react, just kept his arms crossed as he stared him down. Jim could tell he was s little scared, due to the slightest, hardly noticeable tapping of his fingers on his forearm.
"... I know it was you that texted me last night, jim. Watch my back? I'm afraid you'd better do the same." Marcus stated, jim noticed the kid shift his weight uncertainly, likely knowing jim was unstable, and unpredictable. .... so. He played off of it.
".... I could kill you now. Right now." Jim responded, taking a step forward so he was hovering over Marcus threateningly. But, to his surprise, despite his fear- Marcus didn't back down.
".... do that, and Alex will not hesitate to kill you as well. Not only that... one tap and I can completely destroy you. Do you want to see if you can kill me fast enough to prevent that from happening?" Marcus responded. Jim raised an eyebrow.
"... a photo of me next to y/n in bed. Send that to anyone, they'll know I have a weak spot and I will be flooded with attacks. Well played."
"You'll be completely ruined. You'll risk losing everything and everyone you've ever cared about. Now. Are we going to have a problem?" Marcus asked, glaring up at jim, arms still crossed. Jim could sense the kid slowly growing more confident as his blackmail theory was reinforced by jim himself. They stared at each other a moment, both of them silent and refusing to back down.
Finally, jim smiled, taking a step back.
"Well, I'm impressed kid~ you stick to your word. Good for you." He hummed calmly, immediately Marcus's eyes lit up and he grinned, seeming to sense that all danger had dissolved. Jim knew Marcus wouldn't be bluffing- he also knew that the kid was VERY good at masking his thoughts behind a smile. He couldn't help but wonder how much Marcus noticed.
"Aight. Ima go find alex, see you soon jimmy jam!!" Marcus quipped happily, before sprinting off as if nothing abnormal had happened. Jim raised an eyebrow and felt a smile cross his expression for a mere second. He admired the kid- and now, he knew what he was capable of. As long as Marcus's phone was as secure as he claimed it was, they should be fine.

Authors note:
Hey guys, so as you may have noticed, I've been quite inactive and my chapters have been short and a little halfhearted things aren't going too well right now, my family is going through some stuff so I've lost motivation to do this until things lighten up. Of course I'll continue updating here and there, but until I have the time to write more frequently I can't promise that the quality of the chapters will get any better. I Love you all, hope you're doing well! 💜 I'll update as soon as I can!
