"..... What???" You stared at jim, your expression blank but your mind racing. He. Was making absolutely no sense. None. At all.

"Y/n, marcus is our son. ..... from the future. He came here to stop Harvey now, so he couldn't come back in the future and make things... well.. bad." Jim stated. Marcus nodded quietly, looking at you, hands in his pockets.

".... and... one more thing. ... William's mom is definitely dead..." Marcus said quietly. Your eyebrows drew together.

"Wait, no but-"

"I wrote the notes..." Marcus said quietly, looking at both you and Jim as you stared at him, dumbfounded.

"... I pretended to be her because i had to help you along without... risking blowing my cover. ... everything I did was solely to protect you two, and... well, everyone else. I got basic instructions from future Jim dad on what to do, and... well...I did it." Marcus said quietly. You... couldn't even begin to find words to speak right now. You were.... freaked out.

"I'm really sorry, I wish I could have told you sooner... I promise, i never wanted to hurt anyone I just... if harvey lived, then... then...." Marcus gulped, you noticed his eyes go teary for a moment before he quickly got it together again.

"I hope... that you don't hate me or.. or think this is weird... but. ... it's cool to see you two younger—" Marcus said, trying to get himself together again and smile once more. You could tell he was struggling, he REALLY wanted you to approve of him. It must've been hard, being away from your parents yet with them all along, just.. them having absolutely no idea who you are.

"I just— I need to process this—" you said, your mind absolutely racing with questions and confusion and overall so filled with the nothingness of not knowing answers that you were shutting down. Marcus slowly nodded, looking up at jim. Jim nodded reassuringly at him in response, trying to help calm him.

"... so. You're. .... jim and I's son. ..... from the future. ...... at LEAST twelve years ahead...."

"Yes."

".... please tell me I don't have wrinkles."

"Ew no you're not THAT old!!" Marcus replied with a laugh. Jim stopped for a second, then stared at the kid.

"..... you called me J-Lo-!!"

Marcus burst out laughing even more  in response.

"OH YES!!! One of the greats!!! Aaah,,, it was fun while it lasted. Now I have to be... respectful. And... obedient. ... again." Marcus huffed, jim chuckled, shaking his head.

"Hey, woah woah woah. You're not my kid yet, don't rush me~" jim reassured, earning another grin from Marcus. You stared at the both of them blankly. Oh my GOD. Marcus was your CHILD.
