You headed back to Jim's office, to see that jim had somehow managed to fall asleep upright in his chair despite the two young boys joking and goofing off in the corner. You smiled, going over to Alex and Marcus, holding your arms out to them.

"Hey, time for bed it's getting late... text us if anything happens, okay? Or just give us a shout, we're just right down the hall. Goodnight you two." You hummed as they both climbed into your arms for a hug, saying their goodnights to you before hopping off to their room. You headed over to jim with a smile, knowing he couldn't sleep there— you wouldn't let him. So. You  sat yourself right in his lap. He woke up with a jump, immediately seeming to be on high defence as if expecting something bad. You smiled more, leaning forward and lightly kissing him. You could tell that he took a moment to process what was happening, before he smiled as well into the kiss.

"Mmm you saved my life earlier.... thank you.." you purred happily into his mouth, running your hands through his hair. You could feel him smile a bit more at the words, but he didn't respond. His hands held you by the waist as you kissed him, before you finally pulled away a couple minutes later.

"Let's go to bed now..." you smiled, earning a small 'hm~' from Jim.

William's POV:

William strolled down the halls of Jim's building, talking on the phone with his friend.

"Ty, it's getting late, you should get some rest. You know the later you keep yourself up the worse you feel."

"But williaaaammmmmm I don't want to sleep. Besides, I can't." Came the complaint from the other end of the phone. William smiled to himself, shaking his head slightly.

"Come on kiddo, get some sleep. I'm gonna hang up."

"Stop calling me that William, I'm two years younger than you. Anyways fine I guess, goodnight. Love you!!!~"

"No. Do not start with that again. I have a girlfriend, and I'm not gay." William replied sternly, blushing to himself at the strange words he was not used to hearing. He heard Ty laugh from the other side, before there was an audible crash from the other end, causing William to jump.

"Ty?? What was that, everything okay?"

"Shoot- William, hey, I'll talk to you later I gotta go, goodnight!!" Came the response as the line clicked dead. William blinked a few times to himself, looking at his phone blankly before deciding everything was fine. If something was wrong, Ty wouldn't have just hung up like that. Something probably just came up. Nevertheless, it worried him a bit. To calm his nerves, he decided to text candy.

'Hey, how are you doing?' Her response was immediate as always, which soothed William's nerves a bit.

'I'm good!! Was just thinking about you~ what are you doing tomorrow, can I come see you?? Please?? I miss your face.'

William sighed, shaking his head slightly. He liked her quite a bit, but at times her clingyness could be a bit much- even for him. Although it may be good for now; if someone was trying to get ahold of anyone who had information on alex, William wanted to be sure he was around those that he cared about. They couldn't protect themselves, not when they're mixed in with this type of work without realizing it. .... maybe he'd invite Ty to come along as well, just in case.

'Of course. I'll see you then.'  William smiled to himself yet again as he sent the text. He should spend more time with Alex—- however Alex was still upset with him over god knows what. ..... nevermind, he knew what. Hes a cold hearted, insensitive murderer that killed their dad. .... either way, Alex wanted nothing to do with him and William was tired of trying. Besides, he knew he had to get his own emotions under control before he could even begin to think of helping. He's aware he's been a bit of a barmy lately... a day away from Jim and Alex would be good. Probably for all of them. So, William texted jim as he headed off to bed.

'Hey Jim. Taking a day tomorrow, hope you don't mind. I apologize for earlier, it won't happen again.' William reread the text, sighing as he pressed send. He couldn't necessarily guarantee it wouldn't happen again... but he hoped in saying that it wouldn't, well.... it wouldn't. After about ten or fifteen minutes, jim finally texted back.

'No worries, Willy boy~ have fun~~~.'

William was shocked at the text- he honestly still expected jim to be pissed at him still. The only reason he wouldn't be, is if him and y/n—- .... Jesus. William's face burned red as he quickly put his phone in his pocket, dismissing the thought. J e s u s.
