William's POV:
William was taking a break from the drama. So, here he was, sitting across from Ty, candy, and Marcus, sipping tea when Marcus piped up.
"So, you're basically on maternity leave?" Marcus grinned mischievously, William raised an eyebrows in response.
".... I'm not pregnant."
"Are you sureee?? You and your tea have quite the love affair..." Marcus joked, William rolled his eyes and sipped the tea once more silently, avoiding eye contact with the kid who was grinning his face off.
"..... you're gonna have tea babies"
"Marcus I swear to god-" William warned, although he caught Ty desperately attempting to mask a smile, so he tried to lighten up a bit. He didn't feel like joking, but he wouldn't threaten to murder the kid. He figured that was a pretty good deal for this scenario.
"I'm just taking a break from work right now so you all can stay here." Wrong. He was taking a break from work because he was having mental breakdowns and could hardly function. Marcus smiled and nodded, William wished he could read the kid- he knew that Marcus was worried for Alex. However he just couldn't see it. He was very, very good at hiding behind that optimistic smile.
"..... ill be the mom to your tea babies, William." Ty coughed, immediately William stood up and left the room due to the absolute burning of his face. Marcus was cracking up at the fact that Ty joined in on the joke, and Candy followed William out to show her disapproval of the two playing around. Or maybe to show she was better than them, William didn't know. He didn't mind the joking, just. J e s u s Ty.
"They're so immature- i wish it was just you and I...~" Candy hummed sweetly, standing in front of William so she could lightly trace her fingers down his chest. William simply raised an eyebrow, seeing no point to the physical gesture.
"I'm alright with it, actually. Ty's a nice kid, he just takes some getting used to. Besides, he's just a flirty guy, doesn't mean he wants to pursue anything. He hasn't been in a relationship in years." William stated, Candy seemed to take note of the information.
"Oh really....? I'm not a big fan. I don't like when people try to steal my man.." Candy pouted, William internally rolled his eyes. Oh really? He couldn't tell one bit.
"Don't worry. Ty and I have been friends for forever, and we've mutually agreed to keep it that way. Besides. I'm not gay." William stated matter of factly, and Candy nodded in response, smiling up at him.
"... I know you're not." She hummed, lightly placing a hand on his cheek.
Just then, you slid around the corner with a smile. (Surprisingly not slamming into William!!)
"Oi candy! Can you and Marcus come here?? We just got another note, jim and I want outside opinions on what to do." You said happily, sharing a 'don't worry, you can stay here and we'll figure it out' look with William. Marcus hopped out to greet you upon hearing his name, grinning happily as he did.
"I'm here!!! Let's goooo!!" He chirps, grabbing your hand as the three of you left from which the way you came.
"So.. just us then? ... are you okay, William?" Ty asked, coming over to see his friend. He knew William wasn't one to speak up in groups, or even just to talk one on one with most people. And William was glad he knew that- the only reason he felt comfortable talking about the situation with Ty, was because Ty had a serious history with emotional problems which led him to have a great deal of empathy towards others. And, well, they grew up together. They basically knew everything about each other.
"... I should be fine. Just worried."
"Whatever happens, just take care of yourself okay? No more drinking." Ty said, looking at his friend worriedly. William smiled a tiny bit, looking down at the floor silently a moment before forcing a tiny nod in response.
"... fine."
