When William left the room to help his friends get settled in, you looked over at jim questioningly. You could tell there was something going on in his head...
"James, why are they coming here? Shouldn't we be trying to find Alex?" You ask, and jim smiles.
"My dear, you realize that one of us is partnered with Harvey, using us for information. The only way to find Harvey is to find out who is giving him that information, and we do that by simply analyzing." Jim hummed calmly, too calmly. Something told you that Jim already knew who it was- and yes, you of course had your suspicions. Out of every one that Jim allowed in this building, who seemed the most likely to kill a little kid? Well, that would be either Jim or Candace. Jim of course, you refused to believe would do that to Alex. ... not to Alex.
Anyways, if Jim already knew for certain who had done it, it meant he was trying to get one up on them all. Manipulate the situation in their favour. .... so, you'd go with your instincts to trust jim and try to do the same. Maybe you'd be able to help. Nevertheless, you were terrified for Alex... and for William. William was struggling with his emotions already, and having Candace around him constantly— you feared he'd do something he regretted.
".... ooooooh." Marcus looked up at you two, his eyes enlightened at the situation. "I get what's going on. .... ok. I'm in." He grins, adding his opinion although no one necessarily asked for it. You laughed slightly, shaking your head. You forgot he was there. The kid seemed smart- although you weren't sure how much he picked up on, usually he was quiet about it and never really said much. Just collected data from the sidelines while rambling off about some random thing that no one really cared about. But it was clever- kept people thinking he didn't really know nor care about what was going on. The perfect face for a blackmailer.
"Alright. Well, let's try to keep in on the down low. I'm not sure how much more drama William can take, just try to let him spend time with Ty and Candace- maybe he can vent to them, or drink tea with them or I don't know; what do guys do when they're upset???" You asked, looking over at jim who simply just smiled and shrugged. You couldn't get over how good a mood he was in, considering he just got drugged by a psychopath and had Alex taken away from him without being able to do a single thing to stop it...
William's POV:
"Jesus.. he's still alive?? But, isn't that good—? .... somewhat good?"
"No, Ty. He's trying to murder my little brother."
"..... right. ... sorry." Ty slowly nodded, seemingly trying to wrap his head around the insane circumstances. William could tell Ty was worried about him, and for some reason that seemed to really bother Candy. She was clinging to his arm as always, in what he somewhat suspected as a fake attempt to comfort him- like... like a show put on just to show Ty that she was the one that would actually be able to help William, and he was nothing. ... nevertheless it was probably William overthinking. He knew his 'emotional state' was very unpredictable right now. Or so he'd been told, anyways. He was used to just not caring about things. Shooting his dad in the head really messed him up- yet it turned out to be the best bloody decision he'd ever made.
"It's okay William, I'm sure Alex is fine~" candy hummed happily, William stopped in his tracks and stared at her.
".... are you serious..? .... Harvey has been planning to kill him for god knows how long, now he's finally gotten the chance and you think Alex is 'fine'?" William asks, his eyebrows drawing together in frustration at her cluelessness- or, possibly, carelessness. Ty placed a hand on Williams shoulder slightly to calm him, evidently not wanting anyone to get hurt or to make any enemies of each other. That was just like Ty.. the one kid who always wanted everyone to get along. No matter how bad the situation, he wanted to try to stop disputes before they started, even if it meant completely mentally draining himself to do so.
So, William sighed, running a hand through his hair as he recomposed himself.
"... my apologies." He mumbled, however candy didn't seem to be having it. She seemed too upset with the fact that William was here arguing with her, while Ty was the one calming him down. Jesus he wished she wasn't so bloody jealous. There was absolutely nothing to be jealous of.

And while that's going on maybe I'll try to fit in some more clues and notes and whatnot. I'm just having a writers block and trying to figure out how the hecc to get around it :')))) Anyways, hang in there guys!!! Thank you all so so much for your support, I love you all so much!!!
