You and Jim went to a coffee shop downtown, where the two of you sat across from each other. Both of you were lost in thought, until finally jim piped up.
"You're stressed.. tell me." He hummed, you couldn't help but smile slightly at his offer knowing he likely knew every single one of your thoughts without you having to say it. You appreciated it that much more though, knowing that.
"It's alright, I'm just worried...I don't like how.. angry I've been lately." You sighed, knowing very well how out of it you've been. Jim slowly nodded, raising an eyebrow.
"Don't worry about it too much, my dear~ I expect until this whole 'harvey' thing is past us, that anger isn't going to go away. We all feel the same." Jim hummed calmly, looking out the window. You looked at him admiringly, wondering how it was possible for someone to be so perfectly in control of their emotions. Well... more or less. To be fair, he was a manipulative murderer that did have everyone's deaths planned out years in advance.
Your tea was brought to you by a server, so you took a sip as jim took his cup as well. You watched him pause, milliseconds after realizing there was a small note under it. He raised an eyebrow slightly before glancing up at you as he opened it. You leaned forward in your chair curiously, wanting to know what it said.
'You're doing well, keep up the good work,
Although Alex is gone there is one more perk.
Candy is not as smart as she seems,
Harvey's just using her for one of his schemes.
You need to stop Harvey from getting his fame,
When he sells Alex's blood, just use his name.'
You drew your eyebrows together as you read through it, jim slowly folded the note and tucked it in his inner jacket pocket.
"...... candy.. how could she have known about candy?" You asked, knowing William didn't even release to you the fact he was dating someone until just very recently. And even though William's mom was still alive at that time, how did she know candy's name? She'd have to have approached her directly, and she only recently started going by 'Candy' rather than Candace. Come to think of it, it was after she died that william started with the nickname.
".... you think she's still alive." Jim stated, reading your expression. You stared at him a moment as you thought it over, before shrugging.
"Y- no. We saw her dead. She's dead. But........ if she isn't......" you bit your lip as your thoughts raced, jim simply smiled.
"I see you've figured it out." He hummed, to which your eyes widened.
"What?? She IS alive—?? No... you KNEW she was alive???" You asked, unable to mask a tinge of betrayal from pricking at your heart. He knew and didn't tell you..?
"I did~ it was the only logical explanation. Harvey is able to convince anyone to betray who they worked for, and if she was dead then she'd need a messenger to deliver her 'notes' for us. No doubt he would have put an end to that when he found out- which he DID find out. Yet here we go, yet another note. Besides, some of these things simply could not have been foretold ahead of time~." Jim replied, you stared at him quietly for a few moments.
"... okay... um.. alright. ... anyways. What do you think this note means? Why would using Harvey's name stop him from selling Alex's blood?" You ask confused, and jim shakes his head in response.
"Don't know, I suppose we'll have to wait and see~" He hummed with a smile, you stared at him quietly another minute or so wondering if he was telling the truth. ... or... what else he wasn't telling you.
Ty's POV:
Sitting across from William in an extremely intense game of battleship, Ty smiled deviously as he knew he was winning. William insisted he could not be beaten, however Ty apparently excelled at the classic game. Marcus was taking what Ty assumed was a 'stress nap', considering the fact he seemed to be so anxious he could hardly function. He just stared blankly at different parts of the room as he thought things over.
So, now here they were. Ty grinning as he was just about to win the game, William staring at the board trying to contemplate any possible way out of the predicament. Finally, accepting his fate, William sighed.
"... you sunk my battleship."
"What's that??? I can't hear youuuu" Ty quipped with a celebratory grin, ready to rub it in Williams face as much as possible. William shook his head in defeat, smiling quietly.
"You bloody sunk my battleship, you bastard."
"Hahhh! Guess who owes who a gay kiss~"
"Ty no."
"Oh come on, it was part of the deal~ just pretend I'm a girl, you'll love it." Ty laughed, although he personally shuddered at the thought. William glared at him from across the table, Ty could tell he was rethinking his self confidence in winning board games. Oh well, it'll keep him from making stupid deals in the future~ however now he's gotta live up to this one.
"...."
"Hey, dont go back on your promises, William! You're gonna give me trust issues with men, too!!" Ty laughed jokingly, noting William suppress a smile as well. Evidently he was trying to be moody about the matter and was afraid that any sign of joy in this moment would encourage Ty's 'William is gay' outlook on life. Which was exactly the case, of course.
".... just get it over with." William mumbled, standing and brushing his suit off. Ty could tell William's face was slowly beginning to burn red.
So, he went over to him, casually grabbing him by the tie with a smile. More red. Ty leaned in, inches away from William's mouth, before stopping. William's face was burning red now, Ty was certain he was going to pass out. So, with a smile, Ty pulled back again.
".... actually, changed my mind. Let's save it for another time." He grinned, stepping back to bask in William's completely flustered demeanour. He could practically hear his heart beating a mile a minute from where he was standing. William stuttered for a second, however, unable to find words, he simply stumbled out of the room. Grinning to himself, Ty sat back on William's bed again.
And that, is how it's done.
