Jim's POV:
Marcus tugged at Jim's sleeve lightly, so jim turned his attention to him.
"Yes, Marcus?" Jim asked, looking down at the strangely optimistic looking boy. Marcus glanced down at Ty, then back at jim again. Jim simply raised an eyebrow, uncertain of what he was implying. Marcus huffed, taking jim by the sleeve and pulling him a few steps away from William, just enough to whisper and be out of earshot.
"You can save him." Marcus said quickly, Jim's eyebrows drew together in confusion. Marcus huffed once again.
"Come on, you know you can!! Alex's blood!! When you went into his room late at night, when he was living with Harvey before they knew he was this far gone!!!" Marcus said quickly, jim stared blankly at the kid.
".... how the hell do you know about that?" He asked blatantly. Marcus rolled his eyes.
"Oh come on. Alex had nightmares that night about someone sneaking into his room, and found a small prick of dried blood on the inside of his elbow the following morning. He told me all about it because it's been on his mind a lot, he didn't know what had happened. But I drew my own conclusions..." Marcus smiled people, his eyes lighting up. Jim stared at the kid, keeping his expression blank, however giving him an approving hum in response.
"... Jim, Alex would have wanted to you save Ty. .... but I don't think we should tell y/n if Ty lives— she's angry, and clever. That's a good match for destroying your enemies-" Marcus grinned and jim chuckled- both of them seemed lacking in empathy. It was wonderful.
"...... you're not wrong~ problem is convincing Willy boy to play along.... then again, I'm sure he'd just be happy to have his little pet back." Jim hummed, smiling. He felt more like himself again, now that Marcus had reminded him that they were not completely defeated. Now they had more ammo against Harvey than ever. They were undoing everything he did and more~ it was perfect.
William was sitting by Ty, staring down at him brokenly. He had gathered himself together mostly, although his heart looked like it was absolutely shattered, his face permanently saddened. Police sirens could now be heard in the distance, jim knew they had minutes to do this before they got here..
"Willy boy, he's not dead~ not for long, anyways. We can save him, but we have to do it quick." Jim hummed in a sing song voice, pulling a small vile from his inner jacket pocket. William looked up at him, eyebrows drawing together in numb confusion.
"..... what—-?" He asked, unable to clue in to what was going on, his ability to piece things together was completely vanquished as he was overwhelmed with grief. Jim knelt by the boys, simply opening the vile and dripping the contents of it onto one of Ty's wounds. William's eyes widened in realization that it must have been Alex's blood, but he didn't question how jim got it. It didn't matter to him, obviously. Jim could tell he was completely overwhelmed with the urgent sense of hope. Jim tensed, now able to see the police lights through the trees.
".... we have to get him out of here now. Let's get him back to the building, it might be a while before he wakes up anyways." Jim said quickly, standing up as he realized how tight on time they really were. William swallowed, quickly picking Ty up without hesitation as he stood. As they quickly fled the scene, jim smiled down at Marcus- bloody kid knew what he was talking about, he'll give him that much. He never forgot a single detail of anything, did he...
They got Ty back to Jim's building, where jim convinced William to keep Ty in his room. It didn't take much convincing, actually. William didn't seem to care, he was just desperate for his friend to wake up.
"Willy boy, we can't tell y/n that he's alive. ... he has to stay in here for now, don't let him leave." Jim said, looking at William seriously. William just nodded, not seeming to care- that was the least of his worries right now. Ty was laying on William's bed, William anxiously waiting beside him. Jim sighed, watching the two.
"Marcus, stay here with them. ... I'm going to go find y/n."
