"Hey girls, are you guys having fun?" My mom said with her robe and reading glasses on.
"Yeah she's just showing me stuff." I said softly. Mom walked over and sat on the bed with a smile on her face.
"How about we go downstairs and make brownies? Who's up for it?"
"Me me." My friend and I said while following mom to the kitchen.
"Okay guys we have to be as quiet as possible. We don't want to wake the little kids up do we?" We shook our heads, and tip toed down the stairs.
"I'm gonna take the eggs out." I said softly. I went into the fridge and took out the eggs, while Joy grabbed the oil.
"To make this quicker, let's use a Betty Crocker." Mom grabbed one from the cabinet and poured it into a bowl. She helped us crack the eggs and poured the oil in. She mixed it quickly and then gave us the spatula to share.
"Allie are you okay?"
"What?"
"You were just sitting there with a frown."
"I'm okay really." I said forcing a smile and licking some of the batter. Mom gave me a look that said,"We're speaking at some point." And put the pan in the oven. I whispered to my friend,
"Remember what happened during recess the other day?" She nodded.
"I'm still a bit sad about that." She gave me a hug and let me have the rest of the spoon.
"What now?" My mom said crouching down in front of me.
"What's wrong? Tell mama."
"I'm not even really that sad."
"Do you want me to tell her?" Joy asked quietly.
"Sure."
"People we're pulling Allie's hair the other day, talking about it's ugly and she's dirty. But me and some of the people in our class defended her."
"Ohh okay, that's really nice of you, thanks for doing that for my little sweetheart. Is there anything that I could do to repay you?"
"Aww no it's okay Mrs. Hermann her friendship is enough." I smiled watching my mom and friend have this kind of interaction.
"Now Allie, do ever ever let someone pull your hair like that. You either tell a teacher, or fight it off yourself. Thought I wouldn't recommend doing it often. It could lead you into trouble, understand?"
"Yes mama."
"Can mama have a hug?" I went and hugged her then walked over to the pan of brownies. "
"Can we have this for snack on Monday?"
"Why not?"
***********
"Ehhh."
"Sissy, why aren't you eating it, it's so good." Amaya said eating up all the pizza.
"I don't really like pizza."
"Come on eat at least a piece sweetie."
"No dad." I went up to my room and locked the door.
"I'm going to go to bed. This is so stupid." I said changing into sleeping clothes. I felt a bit unhappy with my week so far and I wish there was a way to relieve my sadness. I don't want to be sad anymore. I want to be happy like everyone else in my house. I need something. But I'm not sure exactly what I need in my life.

"Today was an okay day diary. I wish it was better so I could make this first entry more exciting."
"Hey Allie I thought that it would be so cute if I got you a diary. You know I had one when I was a little girl?"
"You did?"
"Yeah and I wrote all of my deepest secrets in there. I still have it actually, I'll show you it one day."
"Cool."
"What secrets are you going write in there my little Allie?"
"I dunno, but I hope it can be as cool as yours mama."PT.2 coming****
