Saturday, June 10th (Mariska's Perspective)
"Allie,"
"Mama," She said in retaliation. I gave her a kiss and watched as she colored in her coloring book.
"I wanted to tell you this myself since you weren't here."
"Tell me what?"
"We're moving."
"Moving? Why?"
"Remember what happened the other day?"
"Oh yeah, those people are super weird. Taking photos of our house and stuff."
"I love having such a massive space, but having our own townhouse comes with cons. And, Peter and I thought that a penthouse would fare better for us."
"Okay."
"No feelings?"
"Not necessarily. I understand why. Mama, I'm not 11 years old anymore. I was just stupid back then."
"Stupid isn't the word. You were definitely more emotional back then, more hormonal. You're just matured. No need to talk about yourself so negatively."
"I guess. But, it's okay with me. Can I choose the colors for my room?"
"As soon as Daddy and I find a place."
"Sounds like a deal." She laughed and licked her popsicle.
"Alright, go on."

Joy's House (Allie's Perspective)
"I was thinking about temporarily dying my hair. But, I don't know which color to do." I followed my friend to her bedroom and she showed me the colors she bought.
"Why the hell did you buy so many colors! You know you're indecisive!" I said playfully.
"I'm sorry! They just all looked really pretty! I couldn't help it! Help me choose."
"Well.. you're a brunette, so maybe..."
"Maybe?!!!!"
"What about purple? Some nice flair."
"I'll trust you on this one. Why don't you do it too?"
"So that my parents could kill me?"
"If they get mad you can literally wash it out, plus the natural blonde streaks in your hair just helps. You'll look really cute....come on!" I rolled my eyes and nodded.
"Fine. But if my Dad kills me, you're going down."
"How could you take revenge, if you're freaking dead you idiot."
"Idiot." I mimicked in an English accent. Joy laughed and I read the instructions on the box.
"Seems very simple. I'm just doing a few streaks." And so we did it. I thank my bio parents for providing me the blonde hair in the first place or this would've never been possible.
"My Dad is gonna be annoyed when he sees it."
"Stop worrying about your Dad! Let's plan for Friday. Last day of school btw!"
"Maybe we should go to the dessert bar?"
"That sounds cute! But then I'll practically be like a 9th wheel."
"Why are you so eager to get another boyfriend?" I asked calmly.
"Eager is not the terminology I'd like to use. Yes, Cody was hecka toxic, but I did enjoy being in a relationship, and that was last year. I'm ready."
"I hear you, but I don't want you to be hurt again."
"Everyone gets hurt in relationships. It's normal. You and I both know that. I'll be fine."
"You know I'll support you, either way, I just want to see you happy, not sad."
"Thanks, Allie, you're the best."

Home (Amaya's Perspective)
"Hey, sugarplum." I turned around to see a small cake and some presents.
"August's birthday isn't until next week."
"I know."
"And, Andrew's isn't until July."
"We know."
"Am I missing something?" I asked quietly. My family laughed and told me to sit down.
"We felt bad about the fact we couldn't celebrate your birthday properly because of the quarantine, so we'll celebrate it the right way, right now." I could barely hold back the tears. I didn't expect this. I sort of forgot about my 11th birthday disaster as I tried to remove it from my memories as well as I possibly could.
"Happy Birthday Dear Amaya! Happy birthday to you." I closed my eyes and made a wish, before blowing out the candles. I opened a few presents, as we had to get ready to do a family thing and I thanked everyone.
"Who's idea was it?"
"It was All Allison."
"Best older sister ever! Thank you!" I gave her a hug and she smiled.
"Do you feel better about your birthday now?"
"Yeah. Definitely."
"Okay, everyone get ready. We have a reservation and I'd like to be on time today!"
"Lucky for you, I've been dressed. I'm just amazing like that."
"As always."
"Mom, can I watch tv while I wait?"
"Of course my ballerina." I smiled and sat in the living room. I was pretty excited. Why not? Something told me there were more surprises to come, but I don't want to sound ungrateful or anything like that. Who knows? My
Family is just way too generous with gifts, that's all I have to say.
"Amaya!"
"Yeah?" I went upstairs to Allison's room and looked inside.
"What is it?"
"Do you want me to paint your nails?"
"Right now?"
"Why not?"
"You guys are being awfully nice to me today."
"Why not?" She asked again.
"We just don't want you to feel underappreciated or anything like that. We love you so much."
"Thanks. Allie, can I ask you a question?"
"Hit me."
"Why did you start dating Josh when you were 11?"
"Do you mean like how it came about or-"
"How it came about."
"Alright. So, it was my 11th birthday party. I believe we were doing laser tag or something like that."
"Cool."
"We were on the same team. At one point we hid behind one of the rocks or whatever in the laser tag place. We were talking about how we liked each other."
"Juicy."
"And all of a sudden, I had just given him a peck on the cheek and Mama was calling me to do the cake. That's what made us wanna be a thing."
"You've made our with him?"
"No, of course not." She blushes and fixed the polish.
"Just small kisses, forehead. That's it."
"So why are you guys a couple of two years almost and you haven't made out."
"Because we wanna wait, so it's really special. Amaya, you'll get it one day. Not right now. Hopefully later."
"Hopefully."

Barnes And Noble (Allie's Perspective)
I like bookstores. Josh and I have little dates here all the time. It's very peaceful. Plus, you can't find a whole lot of paparazzi here anyways. Who the in the hell actually would go to a book store to take pictures of a celeb's kids? Wait, I take that back. That might definitely happen in LA. Not New York though, unless you're hella famous.
"Josh, look at this book I found."
"Let's read it." It was about a girl and a boy on a quest to find 3 keys.
"This sounds like something we would do."
"Definitely." I loved the summer. It gave me more time to be with Josh. He's a great person to hang out with. He gives amazing advice, and he's so adorably funny.
"Josh, can you tell me again why the hell you've been growing your hair out."
"Wanna try something new."
"Don't grow it too long please. You need to cut some of it."
"Why?"
"Because you look like a hippie."
"Oh really?"
"A really cute, dirty-blonde haired hippie."
"What a nice compliment. Didn't know you knew how to do that."
"Stop it! You're so annoying, making me seem like a meanie." I pouted playfully and we continued to read the book. The book was actually really great. I was considering buying it.
"Al, you wanna get a drink."
"Sure, my treat. What do you want?"
"Our favorite." We both love cookie dough milkshakes and we haven't had them in a while, it was just right. I went up to the cashier and ordered. The cashier smiled.
"Is that your boyfriend?"
"Yeah," I replied shyly.
"You guys are cute. This one's on me."
"Thank you, so much."
"Don't mention it." When she finished making our order we sat at a table and just chilled. And, that's just what I love about Josh. We can just chill, sit in silence, and it doesn't bother him. At all.
"Love you."
"Love you, too."

A/N: Happy, Happy Birthday Amaya! ❤️
