"Joy I think you should shower and then we could talk."
"I'll take her upstairs Mama." Allie held her hand as they went upstairs together. I decided to get some work done in the meanwhile.
"Mama?"
"Oh you're back?"
"Yes."
"Can you tell me what's up with Joy?"
"I could, but I'm not sure if Joy wanted to tell you herself. Is it okay if I try your glasses?"
"True. But I think she's really sensitive about it right now, so maybe it'd be best if you told me. Here try them." I slid them on and smiled.
"These look better on me Mama."
"Yeah right. But tell me."
"Okay, so at her party today Joy was like Cody was coming late. And then after she said that we found some photos of him at a party with another girl. And they were feeling up on each other and stuff. So Joy got upset obviously and she was about to go over there. But I stopped her and she's been crying ever since."
"Cody's her boyfriend?"
"Yeah."
"You guys are all moving fast huh? But, this is exactly what made her cry? Or is there extra details that you're not telling me."
"This is exactly it mama. And what makes it worse is that he hid his insta story from me, and the other girls because he knew we would go back and tell. But he left it for Josh to see. Josh would still go back and tell Joy either way."
"Wait did Josh send you the photos?"
"No but I can ask him." I pulled out my phone and asked Josh if he could said the photos.
"Mama, he said some of them are gone but he got a couple of screenshots." I handed her the phone and her face was stuck in this serious position.
"Go check on Joy for me ladybug." I ran up stairs to my room where Joy was sitting there quietly.
"Is everything alright?"
"Not fully." She looked up while brushing her hair.
"Do you wanna talk now or in the morning?"
"I don't even know."
"Maybe you should talk in the morning. Do you want to do some sleepover festivities?"
"I guess."
"Okay, let me go get my mom." I went into my parents room to see my mom on her phone.
"Is she ready to talk?"
"I told her she should talk in the morning. She needed some rest you know."
"Oh okay." I went over to my mom and gave her a hug.
"Mama, I love you."
"Love you too. Good night!"
"Night mama!"

The next morning
Joy was in a better mood. We made pancakes for the rest of my family together and talked about some stuff. I tried not to talk about boys at all because she could still be sensitive about it.
"It was so funny. Like the way the ball just hit her." She placed another pancake on my dad's plate and turned off the stove. The table was set up really nicely. There was strawberries, bananas and blue berries for a fruit salad. We made smoothies for everyone too and Mamas green drink. There was also turkey bacon and eggs with orange peppers.
"Guys come and eat!" We sat down and started eating our meal that we worked hard for. The first person down was Mama and she thanked us for cooking so much food.
"You guys did amazing. It's such a shame, I can never get Allie to do this for me on a regular day." She rustled my hair and gave Joy a hug.
"And Joy, you're parents want to talk to you."
"Why?"
"They want to make sure you're alright. Call them after breakfast and then we could talk."
"Alright I will." Joy was obviously upset about talking to her parents and mom saw it. I wonder if she was thinking what I was.

Mariska's POV
"Allie told me a bit of what happened, but I want to hear it from you also."
"I dunno."
"Joy, you can tell me anything. I'll be here to listen if you're afraid to talk to mom and dad."
"Well, I know he was kissing a girl and stuff. And that really hurt. But like that's not really what's on my mind right now."
"What's on your mind?"
"My parents don't know about this and I can't tell them unless I want to be in trouble. I'm not even allowed to date. I just wanted to see what it was like. This is my punishment I guess. I deserved it woo-hoo!" She said sarcastically.
"Well, Allie wasn't allowed to either but she still told me. Joy, if you tell your parents they'll appreciate your honesty. Hearing it from you is better then hearing it from someone else. Trust me on that."
"But what if they get mad?"
"They won't stay mad forever." Joy took out her phone and called her mom.
"Hey buttercup! Are you okay? What happened." I rubbed her back as she started explaining everything to her mother.
"Joy, I'm not mad at you at all. But I'm disappointed. Why didn't you talk to me about it?"
"I was a bit embarrassed. And I thought you'd get upset."
"Maybe, but id still support you no matter what. Are you coming home later?"
"I dunno."
"Take your time and think. We're gonna have a talk when you get home."
"Alright I will."
"I have to go to work, but I love you so much sweetie. Bye."
"Bye."
"See, you're okay." I gave her a hug as she started to cry.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome. Anytime."
"Mrs.Hermann? Do you think I should stop talking to Cody?"
"I'd dump him and never speak to him again. But do you still have feelings? Do you still wanna talk to him? Will you be able to forgive and forget this?"
"I still have feelings and all. But those other questions. I'm not even really sure."
"Think about it. Now, come on let's not sit here and mope! Let's go shopping."
"Really?"
"Yeah! All of us girls." Joy smiled happily and went to go tell the others. You did it again Rish. You did it again. I hope this helps her feel better.
