Mabilis kong hinubad ang aking coat at saka niluwagan ang aking necktie pag pasok ko sa loob nang bahay. Nagulat ako nang makita ko sala ang tatlong pinakamagandang babae sa buhay ko. Mabilis na naglaro sa utak ko ang salitang tatlo, tatlo nga lang ba? Pinalig ko agad ang aking iniisip.
Ngumiti ako at lumapit sa kanila. I blessed to my Lola, kiss my mother on her forehead and lastsly, kiss my beautiful wife on her lips.
"Am I missing something?" I asked after the kiss. I smiled at my wife, who looks so lovely staring at me. The very first time I laid my eyes on her, I know she will be the girl I will marry. Start as my high school sweetheart and when we graduated in college, pinsakasalan ko agad siya. And damn, I feel like I'm the luckiest person nang pumayag siya.
They are all gathered in our receiving area and holding some kind of magazines or something.
"Jenna called us. They already checked the baby's gender and guess what?" masayang balita nito. Bahagya akong nagulat.
"What?' I tried to sound excited or surprised.
I already talked with Jenna regarding on this. And unfortunately, we planned this. Of course, they doesn't need to know about it.
Isabel looked at me and smiled sweetly. "It's a girl."
"Ohh.. G-great." kumunot ang noo sa akin ni Isabel but she ignored my reaction later on because of my Lola.
I'm actually happy... I am super happy right now, seeing Isabel reaction that she's glad I felt relieved. She's really a great woman.
"I was expecting a boy, I believed Carlo too but nonetheless, we are happy." My Lola happily cheered.
I'm also expecting a boy. Kailangan ko pa kasi maisalin ang lahi ko pero whatever it is, I love my child, my baby girl.
"What do you think? Pink and Gold or Pink and Silver?" out of nowhere Jonas popped in the room.
"Pink and Gold for me." my mother answered and the two ladies nodded in agreement. What are they talking about? Jonas just nodded and left.
"What was that?" I asked them.
"Oh. We are planning for a baby shower." my mother answered. Baby Shower? "We're going to Batangas this weekend."
"You should come, Renz. You've been out of the town for business. You should atleast visit the baby." tumingin nang alanganin si Lola kay Isabel after mentioning the last words but Isabel nodded quickly.
She held my hand. "I agree with Lola." Bahagya akong nanlamig.
"Of course, you should be present in the Baby Shower." said by my mother.
Parang natuyot ang lalamunan ko at hindi agad makasagot. Isabel is just smiling at me, encouraging me to agree with my grandma and mother. "O-of course."
"Actually this is Jo's idea and we thought it is a great idea also."
"Jo's much more excited than us." My wife chuckled.
"Baka gusto na din magka-anak nang apo kong iyon. Napaka palikero kasi."
Bahagya akong natawa. "La, baka di mo lang alam may apo kana doon."
I'm glad the mood changes. Masyado atang halata ang pagiging awkward ko or they are just trying to be more sensitive for my wife.
"Ay jusko po." at lahat kami ay nagtawanan.
Napakunot ang noo ko nang makitang tulala si Isabel sa kama. Nilapitan ko ito at hinawakan ang pisngi.
