"I hide it well, hope you can
tell, but I hope she smells my
perfume" Perfume, Britney Spears.By now Yerin's parents had already gone to bed. Yerin was left downstairs alone to make her and Eunbi something to eat while Eunbi was occupying the shower.
Guilt was overwhelming SinB. She knew what she said to Sowon was breaking her inside but she didn't know how to react. She already didn't have a father and she couldn't imagine living without her mother meanwhile Sowon had grown up with no one but herself.
Sowon taught herself everything like how to stay healthy, cook, laundry, and other everyday chores that kids didn't have to start doing till they were at least 9 or 10. She even taught herself everything she knows about wolves to this day. She spent a lot of time at the library reading about animals when she was 5-9. She had gotten along great with the librarian but after she passed away Sowon never returned. Sometimes she thought of going back there again but she never could.
Eunbi wasn't sure if Sowon would forgive her or not, but she wanted to apologize so badly, but remembering how Sowon threatened to kill her, she didn't want to go back. If Eunbi dared to return in the next few days Eunha would lose her grip on Sowon, and Eunbi, without a choice, would be rewarded with a free ticket to meet the devil in hell.
Eunbi let the water pour on her for a minute or so before getting out. Yerin left a towel and clothes on the counter for her to use. Right as Eunbi was about to leave the bathroom she looked into the mirror. All she saw was a disgusting human being. She saw someone she hated; Hwang Eunbi, a monster.
"You're selfish." Eunbi mumbled to herself and turned off the light before exiting the room.
"Just in time! I made lemon chicken since I've been craving some the past few days." Yerin set two plates down onto the table and smiled at Eunbi.
"Thanks but I'm not really hungry." Eunbi sat down at the table and looked at the chicken.
"More for me. So, Eunha called a few minutes ago asking if you're here, did you tell her you'd be somewhere else?"
"No. Me and Sowon fought again. She tried to kill me, sometimes I think she might be a psychopath." Eunbi absentmindedly took a piece of Yerin's chicken. Yerin jokingly glared at her and moved on with the conversation.
"Well, what did you say to make her mad this time? We all know that when she gets mad you better make a run for it before she captures you, you should be careful with her."
"What I said was wrong but she really shouldn't have tried to fucking kill me, right?" Eunbi needed Yerin to agree with her on this one to make her feel better.
"Well, it depends what you said to her. Was it about Eunha? Her parents? Her grades last year?" Yerin named a few things that angered Sowon to the core.
"Her parents..." Eunbi mumbled. She was utterly ashamed of herself.
"Damn, you fucked up big time. The last time someone spoke about her parents the medical staff had to take a stick out of a man's palm. This was a few months ago at a bar. Charges weren't pressed because Sowon threatened to kill him if he did. So, what did you say to her that made her so angry?" Yerin was eager to know. She loves drama but she doesn't like being in it or being the one that caused it.
"I told her that she's jealous of me because she doesn't have parents, it's not that bad, is it?" Eunbi was nervous, she didn't want to get stabbed with a stick or something else.
"Well, shit, Eunbi, you should lose all contact with her and change your identity. That's messed up. The last guy only said that Sowon was ugly because of her mother and that almost got him killed, but you saying she's jealous? Watch your back, Eunbi, you never know when she's behind you. Umji told me she's good at sneaking up on people. Sleep with one eye open at night." Yerin couldn't help but laugh in such a serious situation because of Eunbi's reaction.
"What do I do to make her forgive me?" Eunbi felt like she was sweating bullets at this point.
"Not sure. Let's go to bed and talk about it tomorrow. Maybe Eunha can help you?" Yerin put the plates in the sink and followed SinB upstairs.
"What if she kills me while I'm sleeping?"
"I won't let her." Yerin smirked and jumped onto her bed.
"Yerin, you have noodle arms, you ain't gonna do shit. Sowon is practically a noodle herself so maybe you have a chance." Eunbi laughed.
"You're right, I wouldn't. I care about Sowon too much to hurt her." Yerin pulled the covers over her and Eunbi's bodies.
"I care about her too. I don't understand how I could say that to her. Coming from a person who doesn't have a father, I know how much it can hurt. I wouldn't want anyone else feeling like that so why would I say that?"
"SinB, just ignore it. She'll forgive you overtime. Sowon cares a lot about you. I know it may not seem like it at times, but Sowon is always the one there to protect you. She cares about you more than anyone else does. I see the way she looks at you sometimes, she knows you're special. She trusts you Eunbi, don't let her down like the others did and don't leave her like the rest." Yerin stared at Eunbi. She kept a poker face, hoping that Eunbi would know she's dead serious.
It wasn't just the way Sowon looked at Eunbi that Yerin noticed. She saw the way she treated her differently from the others. She treated her so much better. It wasn't an intimate kind of thing, Sowon just couldn't risk losing her.
"I'm stupid, aren't I?"
"Sometimes, yes. In general, no."
"What's that smell in here?" Eunbi sniffed the air. She could smell a very familiar scent. The scent scared her, it belonged to someone who almost killed her.
"My perfume? I got a new kind awhile ago. Yuju bought it for me and I've used it ever since." Yerin smiled and got out of bed to show Eunbi the new bottle of perfume.
"Smells...familiar." Suddenly everything became clear to Eunbi. She knew, she knew everything. The actual true identity of the white wolf was at last revealed to her.
Yuju.
