Outburst

"Umji!" Yuju shouted as she raced up the stairs.

Umji beat her to the door. She slammed the door close and locked it before Yuju could even grab the knob. Yuju was scared for a second that the door was going close directly on her or smash her fingers.

"Umji open up" Yuju knocked on the door.

"I said no! Just go away" Umji leaned against the door and fell to the floor.

"Let me help you. You're the reason I finally came out of my room, it's the least I could do for you" Yuju stood a foot away from the door, staring down at the floor. She could see Umji's shadow underneath the door.

"I don't care if I'm the reason. I don't care about anything"

"Yes you do. If you didn't care about anything then you wouldn't be crying right now"

"I'm not crying" Umji lied.

"Umji I can hear you. I can hear the sorrow in your voice. I can hear your heartbeat"

"Maybe it's best I leave too" Umji's hands fell to her side. She had never felt so useless.

"Now you're just talking none sense" Yuju began to worry.

"Am I even needed? What have I done to help anyone?" Umji questioned both her and Yuju.

"You helped me gain the strength to come out of my room and now I'm trying to do the same for you. Don't you realize people need you? I wouldn't be standing behind this door asking you to come out if I didn't need you" Yuju felt like she had failed at this point. She knew Jimin and SinB were down stairs waiting for the both of them to come down, but Yuju worried that only she would be the one coming back down.

"Don't lie to me" Umji's voice cracked.

"When have I ever lied to you?"

"You never told me who you were! You kept it a secret for so long. Don't even play that game with me" Umji switched from sad to angry then back to sad again within a few seconds.

"I didn't tell you I was a Kanima because I was scared. Can't you understand that? I was scared Umji, terrified" Yuju could still remember that feeling in her stomach the day they found out who she was.

"Oh I understand alright. You're a piece of shit!" Umji kicked the door. "You didn't trust me with your secret! I would've never told anyone. I'm just like you" Umji fell back down onto her knees.

"You're right, you're just like me, you're a monster" Yuju tightened her fist. She knew exactly what she was doing to Umji and she was purposely doing it.

"I'm not a fucking monster!" Yuju heard another kick at the door.

"You want to tear into a humans's flesh. An innocent man or woman and you want to kill them. You want to eat every living thing that comes your way. You know why? Because you're a heartless monster that everybody is scared of!" Yuju took a couple steps back from the door. She could see the door begin to dent from the inside to outside.

"I don't want to hurt anyone! I never did hurt anyone!" Umji's kicks got more aggressive.

"You made Sowon and Eunha leave. They were scared of you, scared of what you could do with all that power." Yuju swallowed the lump in her throat. Umji was beginning to lose it behind the door.

"I didn't mean to hurt her!" Finally the door came crashing down onto the floor in front of Yuju.

Umji had a vicious look in her yellow eyes. She ran at Yuju like a bull. She didn't want to hurt anyone yet she couldn't help it. She couldn't control her anger. Umji was a step away when Yuju widened her arms and pulled Umji into a tight hug.

"I know Umji, I know you didn't mean to hurt anyone" Yuju whispered once Umji paused due to shock.

"I just wanted to help Sowon" Umji cried in her arms.

"What happened to Cao Lu wasn't your fault, Sowon was the one that did it" Yuju tried to comfort her.

"I ruined her life"

"But you saved mine" Yuju tightened her arms around Umji.

"Did she finally come out?" Eunbi turned around the corner with Jimin and found the two hugging.

"Let's take her home" Yuju let go.

"You fucking cheater!" Umji suddenly sprinted towards Eunbi with an evil yet sad and hopeless look.

Jimin was ready to defend Eunbi to the best of her ability but she knew Eunbi wouldn't need her help because Umji wasn't nearly as strong as Eunbi now. She picked the wrong fight, and Eunbi picked the wrong girl to love. Umji was so close but she was stopped too soon.

"I'm sorry" Yuju whispered into Umji's ear as she fell into her arms. Umji could feel Yuju's venom filled claws on both sides of her waist. The room began to spin as Yuju slowly set her onto the floor.

"What the hell is she talking about?" Eunbi asked.

"She knows that you and the other girl kissed" Jimin suddenly spoke up from the back of the hallway behind Eunbi.

"Which one?" Eunbi accidentally blurted out.

"What do you mean which one? Was there two of them?" Yuju tilted her head.

"Um no..." Eunbi frantically waved her hands. "Just me and Cao Lu..." Eunbi's awkward body language gave the real and honest answer away but they weren't going to confront her about it right now.

"She's out like a light. Should we take her home now?" Yuju stared down at Umji who was unconscious.

"But doesn't your venom only paralyze the victim for awhile? Why would she be sleeping?" Eunbi suddenly remembered what Yuju was able to do since she was part Kanima. She found it to be interesting.

"Yeah but she's probably just tired in general so she fell asleep. Let's get her to the car" Yuju and Jimin both lifted her up and carried her to the car.
