The Fox and The Wolf

"Seoyeon, you are a kitsune, you have to kill the nogistune. That's the only way to do it. You're gonna need this katana, but you must learn how to use it." Her mother handed her the sacred katana.

"I have to do it? I didn't even know I was a fox, or kitsune, until a couple of weeks ago." She hesitantly grabbed the katana. She couldn't handle the pressure of having to be the one that kills the nogistune.

"Thats why you have to learn. Don't you want to help your friends?"

"They aren't my friends." Seoyeon rolled her eyes.

"After all this is over, trust me, they will be your fiends. There's nothing wrong with picking up some friends along the way. Now follow me outside so I can teach you how to use it. First I will tell you the story of the fox and the wolf."

"I'm listening." Seoyeon payed close attention.

  1943

A woman by the name of Rinko was busy handing out applies to other prisoners. She warned them to keep quiet so the MPs don't find them with stolen goods. A young boy, Michio, came running into the barracks. Noshiko passed the baseball to him once he got inside. Rinko then scolded her for stealing stuff any more obvious.

Noshiko sighed and turned around to face the old lady that she could feel staring at her. "I can feel you staring at me, Satomi." She handed her a bottle of aspirin, since she knew she got headaches often.

She pushed the bottle away, "I prefer to suffer." She placed a piece on the Go board. Suddenly, Michio throws the baseball and breaks the window. Everyone began to hide their stolen goods as the MPs came to investigate.

"Someone lose something?" A man by the name of Rhys came in, holding up the baseball, alongside Merrick and Hayes.

"Some supplies were stolen from the truck," Merrick announces. "did any of you see anything?"

Rhys warned Merrick to stop as he accosted Rinko. "I want the window to be fixed, and there will be an inspection tomorrow so I don't want to see anything in here that shouldn't be in here." Rhys warned them.

Merrick and Hayes left, but before Rhys left, he tossed the baseball to Michio. Nashiko smiles at him before he leaves. They had secretly been dating, which was never a good idea for a Japanese woman in a Japanese internment camp to be seeing one of the MPs.

Later on, Michio was laying in bed with pneumonia, an epidemic spreading throughout the camp. Rinko was coughing, but she told Noshiko that she was alright. Noshiko found Rhys talking to the doctor before he came over to talk to her.

"They're all out of M&B." He sighed.

"I saw the boxes." Rhys was confused now, he only saw one box, but Noshiko insisted that there were three boxes. This helped them figure out that Dr. Liston, Merrick, and Hayes were selling the drugs on the black market.

Michio had died while they were scrolling through the logbook. Rinko gathered everyone in the barracks and insisted that they file a formal complaint.

"Administration won't do anything. They'll smile and tell us another shipment is coming soon." Michio's father said. Rinko suddenly coughed again. "I'll be burying your body next to my son's."

"We won't even get condescending smiles." Satomi spoke up while Michio's father was assembling a molotov. Noshiko realized that by speaking up she had incited a riot.

Dr. Liston, Hayes, and Merrick pulled up to the Oak Creek gate in a truck. A mob had gathered around the truck before they could leave. Rhys had ran out to tell the guards to put their weapons down. The mob kept shouting Dr. Liston's name while they hit and shook the car.

Rhys managed to push through the mob and get Hayes out of the car so he could run to safety. While that was going on, Michio's father lit his Molotov. Rhys begged him not to throw it. Merrick got out of the car and drew his gun. He ordered everyone to stay back, but Satomi kept getting closer so he hit her with his gun. It was at that moment that Nashiko realized Satomi was a werewolf when she saw her eyes glow.

Satomi grabbed the Molotov out of his hand and threw it at the car. It landed by Rhys feet and set him ablaze. The mob had grown more violent and Merrick joined the guards to help them shoot. Noshiko was shot multiple times, more than she could count. It took all of her energy to fight against the wounds. She appeared to be dead.

Ryhs had black all over his body. His horrid screams echoed throughout Eichen House whilst he died in agony.

Merrick and Hayes had to remove and destroy all the bodies. Noshiko was tossed into the back of the truck next to Rhys. She was too weak to prevent herself from being burned with all the other bodies, so she called out to her ancestors for kitsune-tsuki, possession by a fox spirit. Noshiko asked for a nogistune to take control of her body, but instead it possessed Rhys.

Merrick and Hayes went to the back of the truck to get gasoline after piling up the dead bodies. The nogistune began to rise and killed both Merrick and Hayes. He got in the truck and drove it back to camp whilst Noshiko told him to stop.

Noshiko found all the people back at the camp dead so she ran to the barracks to get her katana. She now had to face the nogistuna in a corridor. Satomi snuck up from behind and dug her sharp claws into his back. Noshiko's katana quickly pierced through his body. The katana shattered after exorcising the evil spirit. A fly had left his body and Noshiko captured it.
