The Katana

Yuju rapidly tapped her foot on the floor after seeing that the bell was about ring. She still didn't have a plan to get Seoyeon to give her the katana. Now that the bell was ringing she was really stressed. When she stood up she looked over at her and saw an orange aura around the girl that was shaped like a fox.

"Seoyeon?" Yuju barely tapped her shoulder.

"Huh? Do I know you?" She turned around, a bit frightened.

"No but I know you." Yuju didn't mean for that to sound creepy.

"I'm sorry, what? How do you know me?" Now she only looked suspicious. Maybe Yuju had already ruined her chance.

"Can you follow me? I need to ask you something in private."

"I'm gonna have to say no because I don't know you and I'm not following a stranger to some random place." She tried to walk away but Yuju grabbed her arm.

"I'm just another student, what am I possibly gonna do to you?"

"Um I don't know, kill me?" Now she definitely didn't trust Yuju.

"Oh...well that could happen I guess, but I'm not going to do that. I know what you are."

"What are you talking about?"

"Kitsune." Yuju whispered. "I know you're a kitsune. My friend has been possessed by the nogistune and I need your katana to kill it."

"Take me to your friend. I will call my parents. Only they have the katana."

"They are outside waiting in the parking lot."

"Take me there, now."

"Do you have the katana?" SinB asked the second Yuju got into the car.

"No, but I got Seoyeon." Yuju smiled as the girl got in the back of the car.

"Hi. My name is SinB." She greeted the new girl.

"So I heard your friend has been possessed by the Nogistune?"

"Yeah. Do you know how we can help her?"

"Where is she?"

"She's at our friend's house."

"Is she alone?" Seoyeon looked worried. She knew it was never a good idea to leave a nogistune alone.

"No. Our other friend Jimin is watching her."

"Take me to her."

"Why?" Yuju questioned. She couldn't trust this girl yet.

"I just need to talk to her. Don't worry, I can't hurt nor kill her. My parents have the katana." She reassured them, but they still could not trust her. They would just have to keep a close eye on her.

"Um guys...Jimin just texted me and said that Umji is starting to move her feet." Yuju showed them the message.

"Alright then, let's go." SinB pulled out of the parking lot.

"Jimin?" SinB opened the door quietly.

"Over here. She's starting to move her hands now." Jimin pointed at Umji's fingers.

"So that's the nogistune." Seoyeon looked Umji up and down. Umji had a sly smirk on her face, as if she were a step ahead of them all. As if she wanted this to happen.

"Miss me?" Umji raised an eyebrow.

"Very prideful, another characteristic of a nogistune." Linzy added.

"Why did you choose Umji as your host?" Seoyeon asked as she sat down in front of Umji.

"Is she talking to the fox?" Yuju quietly asked Linzy.

"Yes. It's like a split personality disorder. When the fox sleeps, Umji will wake up, and vise versa. Right now, the fox is awake and Umji is sleeping." Linzy explained as she intensely watched Umji.

"Why wouldn't I choose her? Out of all of you, she is the smartest. Of course I am going to choose the smartest person." Umji laughed, but really it was the fox inside her laughing.

"Do you have a purpose? Or are you doing this for fun?"

"I'm 1,000 years old, I am finally able to possess again, of course I am doing it for fun. I am finally able to be free and act like a normal person."

"But you aren't normal. You're killing innocent people."

"That's the fun of it. They deserve to be hurt like I was. They deserve to die like I did that night!" Now the fox was upset.

"Someone watch her. I need to speak with you guys." Seoyeon pointed at SinB, Yuju, and Linzy and motioned for them to go to the kitchen.

"What is it?" Asked SinB.

"We need to get inside her mind, but I'll need a wolf to do it." Seoyeon looked directly at SinB.

"Why me?"

"Because you're an alpha, it works better with alphas."

"So what do I do?"

"All you have to do is barely dig your claws into the back of her neck. It's like a gateway to her mind. Once you're in, you will have to search for the real Umji that is trapped inside there."

"But what do I do after I find her?" SinB was panicking, she had too many questions and not enough time.

"You have to find a way to bring her out of the fox. I've only heard stories of how to get inside the mind, but nobody knows what to do once they get inside the mind, that's why it is up to you to figure it out. If you succeed, you will be the first person to ever split the fox and the host. No one has ever gotten past this point." Seoyeon was afraid, but a bit excited to see how this would turn out.

"Then what do we do with the katana?"

"You kill the nogistune with it."

"But then why don't we just kill it now once your parents bring it? That sounds so much easier."

"Because Umji is still trapped inside. If you kill it now you'll also kill your friend."

"Let's begin then." SinB walked into the living room with her claws ready.
