Sowon hurried down the tunnels, focusing on the sound of Umji sniffling so she could find her location. She ran around the corner and found Umji holding onto Yuju for dear life. She looked around and saw the pack of chimeras and Eunha on the floor.

Sowon ran to Yuju's side. She pushed Umji away and grabbed onto Yuju's hand. She didn't know if this would work, but she could try. It once saved Eunha's life, but she didn't know if it could save someone who was already practically dead.

"What are you doing? She's dead." Umji wiped away her tears. She didn't want Sowon to give her false hope, which is why she didn't want Sowon to try to bring her back. She feared it wouldn't work.

Sowon's squeezed Yuju's cold hand. Her veins began to turn black as she took away all of the pain from Yuju that she could handle. This could've killed her, but she would do anything to save her.

Sowon gasped, not realizing that Yuju was in such pain. It was almost unbearable, but she had to keep going. Umji stayed back, watching in awe as Sowon lifted her head to face the ceiling, and let out a roar because she was in so much pain.

"That was Sowon." Eunbi widened her eyes. She grabbed Yerin and pulled her along.

The two arrived at the horrific scene. Eunbi became confused when she saw that Sowon's eyes were red again, but that didn't last very long. Sowon brought her head back down, her eyes back to a blue hue again. Yuju's head flung forward, gasping for air like she hasn't taken a breath in ages.

"That...was amazing," Umji said as she scrambled to Yuju's side.

Eunbi kept watching Sowon like a hawk. Something wasn't right. She looked more exhausted then ever, as if she just ran multiple marathons. She looked up at Eunbi and stared at her for a moment, looking completely zoned out. Her body suddenly fell to the side.

Sowon opened her eyes, confused yet relieved when she found herself in a familiar room. She barely lifted her head up and found Eunha sitting on the edge of the bed, biting at her fingernails because she was stressed out.

"Is everyone okay?" Sowon spoke up.

"You're okay?!" Eunha jumped up from the bed and ran over to her side of the bed to give her a hug.

"Of course I am."

"You saved Yuju."

"I just did what was necessary." She shrugged.

"You're not an alpha anymore though." Eunha frowned.

"That's okay."

"You still act like one at least."

"Is Yerin okay? Is everything back to normal now?"

"Everything is fine. We can go back to living our normal lives now," Eunha happily said, but there was always another storm waiting behind the door.

"I'm sorry I didn't trust you." Eunbi felt the need to apologize again. She couldn't help but think that this never would've happened if she would've just listened to her best friend.

"It's okay. At least it's all over now. Kungseo did get away, but at least the rest of his pack is dead."

"So, can you tell me the real story of what happened that night when you killed that man?"

"I was taking a late night stroll to clear my mind. I was near the school when this man started to chase me. This will sound weird, but he literally had another mouth on his hand that he tried to bite me with. I ran into the school to find a place to hide. He cornered me in the library, that's when I saw the scaffolding. I climbed up it to try and get away. When I was near the top I pulled a pin and bunch of metal braces fell down, one pierced right through him." Yerin explained the horrific night. She was still pretty upset with Kungseo, but knowing that Eunbi now trusted her made her feel so much relief.

"I'm so sorry I didn't believe you. You know I trust you the most, right?"

"I know. Can I ask you a question?" Yerin seemed a bit anxious.

"Of course."

"You're not mad at me for how many people I killed when I was under control of the beast, right? Because I know you always say that we shouldn't kill people, but it wasn't really me."

"I would never be mad at you for that. You weren't even aware of what you were. It wasn't your fault. None of it was."

"I can't help but feel guilty."

"That's understandable. You're not a bad person, Yerin. You're an amazing woman, and you don't need to explain yourself to anyone, especially if they're not willing to listen and understand. You went through a complicated situation that wasn't your fault, remember that." Eunbi suddenly held her hand and smiled at her, and with that, Yerin knew everything would be okay.
