Confrontation

"Yerin," Eunbi said as she stopped in her tracks. This was the last issue she wanted to confront right now, but it was necessary. "I need to talk to you about something."

"What?" Yerin turned around, seeming a bit panicked.

"When were you gonna tell me?"

Yerin stood there for a moment. She immediately knew what Eunbi was talking about. "I couldn't. I was worried that you would hate me."

"You killed him." Eunbi had the most disappointed look in her eyes. It made Yerin want to run away and cry.

"He was going to kill me..." Yerin sounded offended now, as if Eunbi were treating her like she meant to kill him, which she didn't.

"You weren't supposed to do that. You didn't have to kill him."

"Was I just supposed to let him kill me?" Yerin was starting to get pissed off because of the way Eunbi was treating her like she is a murderer.

"We aren't supposed to kill people," Eunbi remarked.

"You think I had a choice?"

"There's always a choice."

"Yeah? Well, I can't do what you can, Eunbi. I know you wouldn't have done it, because you would probably just figure something out, right?"

"I'd try."

"Yeah because you're Hwang Eunbi. You're the true alpha. Some of us can't be true alphas. Some of us have to make mistakes. Some of us have to get our hands a little bloody sometimes. Some of us are human!" She unexpectedly shouted.

"So you had to kill him?"

"Eunbi, he was going to kill me..."

"There's a point where it's not just self-defense anymore."

"What are you talking about? I didn't have a choice. You don't believe me, do you?"

"I want to." Eunbi looked ashamed for not trusting her.

"Then say it. Say you believe me." Yerin took a step forward and Eunbi took a step back, as if she were afraid of her. Yerin had a bewildered expression because of her reaction.

"You can't kill people."

"Well, what do you want me to do? Tell me how to fix this."

"I don't know. I...I have to go." Eunbi slowly backed away. She couldn't bare to see the sad look in Yerin's eyes. She lost trust in her.

"Why are you so happy?" Sowon smiled when she saw Umji sitting on the couch, excitement radiating off her.

"Yuju is taking me out on a date tonight. I'm so excited I can't stop fidgeting." Umji kept moving her body because she was so nervous and excited.

"Well, I'm glad one couple is going well right now." Sowon painfully smiled.

"What happened?"

"Uh, Eunbi and Yerin had a bit of a falling out. They aren't talking to each other right now." Sowon explained as she handed Umji a glass of water.

"What happened between them?"

"Eunbi basically called Yerin a murderer. Yerin was only defending herself to the best of her ability, and Eunbi fails to understand that. I would've done exactly what Yerin did."

"Someone tried to kill Yerin?"

"Yeah. It happened at the school a couple of nights ago. Yerin is a human, she can't do things that we can, yet Eunbi holds her at our standard. Yerin can't defend herself like we can. I honestly think Eunbi is being a bit ignorant."
