Silent Treatment

Sowon finally arrived home after a long night at work. She was exhausted and only smelt of alcohol, which she didn't really like the smell of. She locked her car door and sighed as she unlocked the front door.

"What the?" She was confused when she saw Eunha's shoes by the door.

She set her keys down and made her way into the living room, searching for Eunha who supposedly invited herself in. She was about to yell at her when she found her, but then she found Eunha wrapped in a blanket sleeping peacefully on the couch.

Sowon stood there and stared at her. She was angry, but not angry enough to wake her up from what seemed to be a peaceful sleep. She figured she needed a good nights rest, so she left her there and turned the lights off. Sowon wasn't completely heartless, and surely did not lose all her interest in Eunha. A part of her still loved her and yearned for her.

Sowon's feet dragged her up stairs. She had a shorter shift today than usual, but she was still so exhausted. She took her jacket and pants off before she crawled into bed. What would tomorrow bring?

Sowon slowly opened her eyes, the light from the sun shining into her room. It was a beautiful Saturday morning. She stretched her long limbs and yawned before she decided to get up. She made her way downstairs in her shirt and underwear, thinking that no one else was here.

She went into the kitchen to make breakfast. She looked into the living room and was a bit startled when she saw Eunha on the couch playing games on her phone. It was a bit awkward, but Sowon didn't really mind it.

After a few minutes, Eunha came into the kitchen and sat at the table, expecting Sowon to also make her breakfast. She wasn't surprised when Sowon set two plates down on the table, one for herself and one for Eunha.

"Thanks." Eunha spoke quietly, "I'm sorry for crashing here last night. I had no where else to go. Yuju wouldn't let me stay with her again because of what happened between you two after school yesterday." Eunha explained, fully aware that Sowon didn't care.

The two sat in complete silence the entire time they ate. It was awkward for Eunha, but Sowon just pretended she wasn't even there. It was actually working quite well for her. Ignoring Eunha seemed like her best option right now, because she didn't want to yell at her or hit her.

"Are you just going to give me the silent treatment?" Eunha sighed. Sowon didn't respond of course. "You can't ignore me forever." Eunha said as she watched Sowon wash the dishes.

Sowon kept her head down while she cleaned the two plates and utensils. She didn't mind that Eunha was here, she didn't even care about nurturing for her, she just simply did not want to talk to her right now. She wasn't ready to start a conversation without wanting to yell at her, so she decided it was best to stay quiet for awhile.

"We can't live like this forever." Eunha spoke as Sowon went back up stairs to get ready for work.

"So what the hell happened between you and Sowon? I've never seen Sowon want to hurt Yuju like that." Eunbi asked. The two were taking a walk around the park to get some fresh air.

"Yuju kissed me and Sowon got mad about it. We got in a fight, a pretty serious fight."

"She didn't hit you, did she?" Eunbi whispered.

"No, of course not. She wouldn't do that to me. She just kept yelling at me, she wouldn't even let me explain to her what happened."

"That's how she is at first. She'll come around once she calms down."

"I don't know. She's really mad at me right now. She's giving me the silent treatment."

"She probably just doesn't want to say anything rude to you so she's not saying anything at all. I don't blame her. You really hurt her, and I think she still hasn't fully forgiven you for the whole Eunseo thing, that's why she's really angry. You also kissed one of her best friends, I would be fuming if I were her." Eunbi tried to look at Sowon's perspective. It was important to look at all sides of the story before judging and making assumptions.

"I know, but if she would just let me explain then she would realize there's nothing to be upset about."

"Well, Umji said that's not the only thing she's upset about. The other day when we went out to watch a movie together, the others kept talking about how she doesn't listen to you. Sowon talked to Umji about it later that night. Umji told me that Sowon got upset because of that. She said that she gets annoyed because you don't tell her stuff but you have no problem talking to Yuju about all your problems."

"Yeah we also got in a fight about that. I already told her it's because she doesn't listen to me. Any time I've ever tried to tell her how I feel she sweeps it under the rug and acts like it's no big deal. She tells me to get over it." Eunha frowned. She looked disappointed.

"That's because she doesn't know how to deal with emotions. This is obviously something you guys need to work on together. Once you guys are done fighting, don't let this slide. You need to find a solution to this or it's only going to get worse and more exhausting to deal with."

"Thanks for listening to me rant." Eunha awkwardly chuckled once they got back to Sowon's house. "I guess I'll try to have a conversation with her after she gets home from work."

"That sounds like a good plan. Try not to yell at each other. If you stay calm then I think Sowon will too." Eunbi gave her a thumbs up.

"Thanks for the advice, I guess?" Eunha waved goodbye before she went inside.
